Antonio, the wiser candidate
Three weeks ahead of the mayoral election, the AP asks Mayor Villaraigosa if he will run for governor in 18 months. Antonio responds, “I'm not going to make a promise I can’t keep.” If Los Angeles is California’s CD14, he learned four years ago that lying did him no favors — even if it did him no harm.

Unless a miracle happens, Villar will win this skeletal race. But we as Angelinos, need to send the 11% working mayor a strong message, vote for any other candidate so he knows that many are not happy with his work. That will reverberate his political machine as he will not have a chance to ever be governor. If Villar wants to be in front of the cameras, then go to Hollywood.
Villar has not only done not done nothing but promises that he could never fulfill. He has tripled trash fees, there is even a charge to renters that few know, in DWP bills, they are getting charged a "bulky fee", landlords also pay a similar fee for the same service!!!
We all agree that we should not waste water, but the truth is other, once we get charged, it will be in a capricious way, do you really think he has in mind water shortage? Please!!
VOTE NO FOR VILLAR!!!!!!!

Angelenos should strategize and vote for any other mayoral candidate, but NOT Villaraigosa. If you don’t vote, you don’t count.

With Villar promoting Weiss by forcing Bratton to support Jack's candidacy for City Attorney, it's imperative that everyone vote against Villar. I think that voting for Zuma Dogg is a great idea! At least he doesn't slump and sleep during council meetings.

Yeah, that's right. Let's vote for a smelly man who lives in his van. That's a great plan.

true, but not enough aspiring-mayor extras with trolls in their condos.

Not to mention:
80 FAKE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCHES
in CD14. (Lest anyone forget).

Um, er, don't you mean "SKELETON" race??

Ahhh... that's our Antonio.
He has finally learned that it is better not to make promises when you have no intention of keeping them.
Always on the moral straight and narrow.
Hey...where's my toilet brush?

Forgive them! They're not as used to spelling it as you are, Ann Angeleno in LA, LA, LA.

Supposedly several reporters are sniffing around looking for confirmation that Antonio, Bratton, etc. have made a conscious effort to downplay crime statistics in Los Angeles, to protect their jobs.
It's so 1940s LA noir-novel-like. A shady Mayor, in cahoots with the police chief, with the blessing of the Chair of the key Council committee who wants to be City Attorney (Jack Weiss).
This novel has no happy ending. Weiss wins. Villar wins. Bratton saves his skin. We all get taxed to hell, and told that murders and robberies in our neighborhoods never happened -- even ones we know happened.
I agree that we should protest vote. I submit we throw our support behind Walter Moore. He has raised the most money and wrote Jamiel's Law. (Even if the effort to get signatures for it was an utter disaster).

If Antonio thinks he's gonna be governor, he is SADLY MISTAKEN.
Jerry Brown has higher name recognition, can raise more money than anyone, and is owed more favors than any democrat in the state.
Gavin Newsom is wildly popular in San Francisco and will get the progressive vote for being out front (no pun intended) on gay marriage.
And another thing . . . no Mayor of Los Angeles has ever been elected Governor. Not Tom Bradley, not Dick Riordan, nobody.
Everybody else in the state hates LA--liberals in Frisco, conservatives in OC, farmers in the Central Valley, water-starved people in the eastern Sierra.
It won't be enough for him to be Latino. Supporting Hillary over Barak won't help either.

Do the Shaws even support Walter Moore. I think not. Vote for Zuma Dogg. Anyone can write a law, who cares. Walter Moore turned on this family. He's a Wacko. Throw your votes to Zuma Dogg. Phil is better than WACKO.

You want us to vote for Wacko? YOU MUST BE KIDDING!! For his imagined war with Mexico. Wacko is NUTSO. He will come in LAST.

"He has raised the most money."
How very democratic of you.

Wacko's losing. ZD and Phil will get more votes. Find the reality HOZ and learn to cope without setting looney self on fire.

All of you voted for him so shut up. He beat Hahn by 80000 votes. The only thing Antonio can truthfully say that's improved is a lower crime rate, which he owes to Hahn for picking Bratton. You all are f.o.s.

Mexico is collapsing it's not a matter of it, it's a matter of when! The drug lords are taking over and there is going to be a major influx of people escaping. LA is already home to foreign criminals. How long are you Americans going to allow yourself to be forced out of your state.
VOTE WALTER MOORE FOR MAYOR.
