Zuma Dogg's Rally A Hit!
A number of community activists, Mayor Sam readers, artists and neighborhood folks turned out for Zuma Dogg's election rally at Case Princessa in Highland Park. The event was such a success that next Friday, October 17th, Mayor Sam in partnership with Zuma Dogg will host the Sister City 4th Anniversary Party (Part 1). Stay tuned for more details.

Just had to let everyone know Mayor Sam sings, y'all! He did a great job of being a little funny, but good voice, too. The owner was thrilled. ZD was VERY happy with the turnout of people who showed up. Matt Dowd left people amazed! A local singer/guitarist showed up and was good, so we invited HIM back for next week. There will be more promo for next week, now that a lot of people got to check it out and want to kick in with promotion.
So thanks to everyone who showed up. I know a lot of people who wanted to make it, couldn't tonight...so an SPECIAL ENCORE FOR THE MAYOR SAM'S BLOG ANNIVERSARY PARTY, Y'ALL!!!!
And the tone of the event is definitely that of social. But social with a group of activists.
Not a heavy political thing. But a lot of activism conversations, of course, given the crowd.
PS: I gotta get the pictures from the owner that shows the crowd. You can't see it from Higby's VIP/upclose seating.
The report says Palin failed to make her husband stop going after the trooper. That's HER "abuse of power"? That's a good one.
The photos look like Matt Dowd and Zuma Dogg playing with big daddy's old stereo in the garage.
Or is that gay-rage?
Not one photo of the overflowing crowd seems pretty suspect. Not one photo of the line outside the door.
Personally, who cares if the owner of the business is happy? Was that the point? What exactly was the point? And shouldn't this just be on ZumaTimes.com? Why is it here? This is why zumma dog left mayor sam, right? Why is he back now?

The fact that you have to question everything, like who cares if the owner is happy...shows why you are a bitter loser. IT WAS A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TASK FORCE. You wouldn't understand, cause you are self-centered, crybaby.

So, you can go to city hall every damn day, disagree with the council on 99% of the issues, scream your head off, and that's okay. But how dare I come here and challenge YOUR assertions, right?

By the way, and I am sure Jim Alger and others will have something to say, but for the first time ever I met Matt Dowd and got to see his incense, which is very high quality and I suggest you buy some.
We also watched video of Zuma's public comment Friday and it was just spectacular, I know you think it's wasting time, but no more and far more entertaining/informative than Janice Hahn and Mickey Mouse.

Alger's turtleneck must be restricting blood flow to his brain.
Michael, I will give you that. He is definately more entertaining but to be honest, I haven't seen ZD for a while (almost a year)so I am unable to render an opinion either way as to it being a waste of time.
Although generally I think public comment is a waste of time not because of a failure of ZD or any other speaker, but because these clowns don't listen to nearly a word anyone says. If the City Council could put down their cell phone and laptops long enough to show public an iota of respect that would be an improvement.
Not sure why you would think I would have anything to say about Matt Dowd - don't know the man, think I met him once. Been kind of busy in PA and OH but I am sure enjoying being home for the weekend :)
Thank you Red Spot for mocking my turtle necks. I wear them on occasion because I have Muscular Dystrophy and have difficulty with the buttons on a regular shirt. It's wonderful that you would use that to attack me. So thank you for going along with this bs idea that I am "attacking" ZD. Not only am I not, I couldn't be much kinder to him than I am given his obsession with me.
The entire montra that I attack ZD is based on his attributing every negative comment about him to me. Fact is I post in my own name and my own name only. Moreover, anonymous attacks should be generally ignored by everyone. If a person doesn't have the balls to attack someone under their own name and stand behind their accusations, they aren't worthy of consideration.
I give ZD this. When he attacks me, at least he puts his name to it which is much more than I can say about most fools on this (or most other) blog. He is dead wrong about me but he is at least man enough to stand behind his own words.

That said, I find it indicative of your political "character" (or lack of) that you would choose to attack someone by hiding behind one's physical limitation to score political "brown nose points".

I have to laugh about a comment made by Higby saying his blog has really improved because of the quality of posts and comments.
