Since people may be reading this, if they got suckered like me...

regarding the Parks vs Thomas BOS election: It does not do a bit of good to complain to ZD that you do not like either candidate, and that I should be talking about how we don't have any real choice.

THAT IS ANOTHER DISCUSSION FOR ANOTHER TIME: There are TWO names on the ballot, November 4th.

And if you don't want to vote for either, and can never bring yourself to vote for Parks...I hope you will be happy with Ridley-Thomas.

Because if everyone who can't stand either candidate does not vote...Ridley-Thomas WILL win.

So just make sure you are willing to tell Zuma Dogg that you support Ridley-Thomas if you complain that you do not want to vote for Parks.

DO YOU THINK I FEEL LIKE SPENDING ALL THIS TIME AND ENERGY ON PARKS???

It's like getting excited about a parade of "gray confetti." As a matter of fact, he'll probably use gray confetti at his victory celebration because it's less expensive than traditional mulit-colored confetti.

SO THE FACT THAT I AM TRYING TO MOVE MOUNTAINS FOR PARKS ON THIS ONE...tells you what I think will happen if the other side wins.

BOTTOM LINE: Don't complain to ZD about the lack of exciting candidates, until you first tell me which one you would vote for.

THERE ARE ONLY TWO NAMES ON THE BALLOT.

I really dislike parks, but don't have a clue about who would move into that position.

I am not in that part of the County, so I guess it's a moot point. I don't have a say in this one.

Parks has relatively nothing in his campaign war chest compared to Ridley-Thomas (And couldn't he just pick one name or the other to stick with?).

So you know what all that money mean. Mark R-T IS already bought and paid for by the unions and other sp. interests, so he will have to reciprocate.

M.R-T. seems to have been the choice of special interests for putting some big money into his kitty- What do they get back?

Just look a the state bill he sponsored that would have allowed exemptions for more billboards to be erected, as reported in Wednesday's LA TIMES.

Fortunately, there was enough opposition to vote it down.

Look for more work as a henchman for special interests if M.R-T. gets on the Board.

Save LA, Griffith Park and the S/W Museum.

Last Wednesday, while on my way to Parker Center for my 10 a.m. appointment to be bled for Metrolink's miasma, I came across Bernie Parks and Gloria Molina holding a PR event. As Browne supports both folk speaking, I stopped for a moment to record the event: http://www.thebusbench.com/2008/09/parker-center-b.html
