Wacko Jacko: Public Enemy Number One
Ron Kaye makes no bones about it: City Councilman Jack Weiss is public enemy number one. I always thought that maybe Osama Bin Laden or OJ Simpson was but Weiss is indeed an asshole. One of the most arrogant and egotistical politicians to ever grace City Hall Weiss has a lower approval rating that George Bush but he's planning to run for City Attorney anyway. The political machine that runs City Hall is going to pull out the stops to get Wacko Jacko elected however there's at least a few other alternatives you may want to check out and prop up.

Goes to show you can be a complete moron and run for an elected position and win with the right croonies behind you like the gang banger cholo Mayor, the losers on city council, etc. Weiss Ass has done nothing since being on council and his constituents doesn't like him much and collected over 20,000 signatures to try and have him recalled. Only in LA can so many dumb asses be politicans. Just look around LA and see the mess we now live in thanks to these uneducated bunch of losers.

We richly deserve the people who we put into elected office.
If you look into the gang-infested areas of L.A., and the locals do nothing about it, there is no amount of complaining that is going to change it.
Tony Cardenas admitted that, even though he was in charge of a lot of the gang problems, he couldn't do anything about his own street where his own children played.
If we continue to put such people in office, despite their own admission that they are powerless, then we deserve what we get.
The same goes for people like Jack Weiss. At least Cardenas seems like someone who at least cares to make a difference. Weiss doesn't even fake it.

I'll tell you how bad the discussion is. When you talk about one of the council members being better than another, it's like looking in a pig sty and trying to find the pig with the best manners.
Just a local thought.
we must remove all these parasites from office. the law should not allow for career politians or people with law degrees who are some of the biggest ethics violators. we get what we deserve as along as we allow these people to continue to break the law and then use the law to turn on us. you'll never get any of these people you vote for to care about you or your families, wake up!! you have to join with others like you to bring down this corruption!!
Clearly Ron Kaye hoped to stir up all kinds of venom from his usual snake pit of westsiders mired in the What-Happened-to-the-50's? types like those battled Expo/westside subway extension/ ANY development/ the Cheviott Hills HOA/ Pico-Olympic, but except for a few of these usuals, even his commenters said it was wacko to call jack Public Enemy Number One. One woman said she'd nominate her ex for that job first.
Get a life, RonKaye. Your guy, DA Cooley's stoolie Trut, isn't going to win. Not a chance. He'll get the usual angry hornets and fringe elements, that's it.
Poster looking for the "pig with the best manners" among council has hit a home run on this blog, then: with zuma mutt and his friends and Haikula, the standards of this blog have reached every low you could have imagined.
I cannot believe that the citizens of Los Angeles would consider this guy to be the next City Attorney! Let's end this now. My vote will be for the most qualified ATTORNEY in the race.....
