Sublime, meet Ridiculous
The saga of Edward M. Boks, the embattled animal shelter general manager, goes from the sublime to the ridiculous following Laura Chick's recent audits. Click here and here for them.
Rescuers are now circulating this humorous shelter intake form as if Mr. Boks were the animal.
If Mr. Boks' given age on the form, 45, is accurate, he is aging before his time. Is he not about 55 or 60? If the person who sent this to me has any updates on the situation you mentioned, please contact me again as I lost your email address.

Here is another reason to spade and neuter the Mayor and city council members who want to have an open border with Mexico.

MEXICO CITY – Rampant kidnapping, drug murders and robberies are slowing Mexico's economy as companies avoid investing in the country, Finance Minister Agustin Carstens said.
“We estimate that this feeling of insecurity in the country takes away approximately one percentage point of growth,” the Reforma newspaper Wednesday quoted Carstens as saying.
Advertisement Kidnappings in Mexico jumped almost 40 percent between 2004 and 2007, official statistics show. Mexico is one of the worst countries in the world for abductions, along with conflict zones like Iraq and Colombia. Around 2,700 people have also been killed in drug trafficking violence so far this year.

You say Mr. Boks age on the "given form" as though it were truly a given form and not an ADLLA Boks-bashing stab at humor. Not a funny one.
And what a shocker - the first poster wants to "spade" the mayor. The haters are brilliant. So when did you hear the mayor say he wanted open borders? Or are you just digging through San Diego papers looking for some hate to spread, so you made up your bold statement.

Boks puts down animals for behavioral and "irremediably suffering" reasons.
Certain behavioral issues are: being afraid in a shelter setting, fighting with other dogs for food when there are seven packed in the same small kennel, hissing when a person with thick gloves sticks their hand in the small confining cage, barking, meowing, yawning, sleeping, and breathing.
Certain "irremediably suffering" labels include: sneezing, runny eye, worms, fleas, sleeping, and breathing.
Stick any animal into one of these categories and they will be deemed "unadoptable" and not counted in the "adoptable" kill rate. Or, just warehouse the animal long enough for them to catch something and die.
Works every time.

He is 58 I think. He is extremely allergic to cats. He doesn't like animals. He abandoned his own dogs in Arizona.
ADL didn't make that card. Employees at East Valley did. I agree with what they say. He is mean, nasty and has a yellow streak. When things go bad he points fingers at everyone but himself. He is the cause of the problems. Intake is up because of kittens, not mainly foreclosures. Kitten intake is up because he refused kittens and cats last year to try to make his numbers look good. Those cats then had kittens.

Spade the mayor? I agree, it's about time someone buried him!

East Valley shelter workers? Like they have earned the right to criticize anyone! They're the ones who abuse animals and volunteers and then blame management, spending work time creating BS like this fake intake form.
What's the old adage? "If you lie down with dogs, don't be surprised when you end up with fleas?" There ya go, haters!
