And now for something REALLY stupid

NFL star Chad Johnson changes his name to match his uniform number. I never heard of this player, but he sounds like either a FOO' or a marketing genius.

To make this at least somewhat relevant to Los Angeles, did you know that there was once a football stadium in the Fairfax District called Gilmore Stadium! (Sorry for you life-long Angelenos; not everyone knows this! Just be quiet and enjoy the links.)

The stadium was the home of the Los Angeles Bulldogs, the first professional football team in Los Angeles. For the 1939 season, the Bulldogs joined fellow second AFL franchise Cincinnati Bengals (the team for which "Ocho Cinco" now plays) in joining another American Football League just before the league changed its name to the American Professional Football League.

You don't know football if you have to ask, is the Ocho-Cinco name change marketing genius or foolish.

Ask a few men who know football and see what they tell you. And if you want to be even more enlightened ask a few latino who know football about Ocho-Cinco.

The jury is out on that, my friend.

"He Hate Me" made good marketing money, and was the only player anyone remembers from the XFL. But where is that moniker now?

Maybe you should re-read the title in case you didn't catch it the first time. I said it was something "REALLY stupid."

On that note, if you can tell us how a Latino would know more about football than the average male football fan, please enlighten us.

I assume you're talking about American football, not soccer. Otherwise, that would be really, REALLY stupid.

Think, think, think hai-cula, about his name change and how latino's might respond, think, think before you speak. Don't be a PMS reactionary like Valley Dull.

Go ahead and explain instead of speaking in circles.

That's why I even wrote back to your ignorant ass.

By the way, you wrote "more enlightened ask a few latino who know football about Ocho Cinco."

That's what I asked you, unless you want to microdissect things, such as your own typos.

Perhaps you can move on to the answer.
