Accusations & Firings at SEIU (LATimes.com)

Sorry for the copy & paste of this. The Times' article tells it right.

Tyrone Freeman has been removed from the union's payroll after an internal report alleges improper spending practices similar to those revealed by The Times.

Guess now that Stern can't dodge a Congressional hearing SEIU has to cut its loses. Wonder if Annelle is hearing footsteps as well?

The piece in the San Francisco Guardian does a good job of pointing out how resources needed to clean up SEIU in California will deplete troops for Obama's campaign.

Is this part of the reason why Zuma Dogg keeps endorsing Bernie Parks? Or is that for a different reason?

Help please.

The politician with the most to lose is none other than Barack Obama!
Stern is taking hundreds of SEIU staff out of battleground states and diverting them to California in order to impose a bogus and illegal trusteeship on the most successful SEIU local in the country, the UHW West.
Stern is also blocking UHW West from sending volunteers to battleground states to help Obama, and the UHW will have to marshall all its resources to defend their local against Stern's goons.
If Obama narrowly loses even one of the battleground states, Stern's legacy will be:

THE MEGALOMANIAC UNION BOSS WHO COST BARACK OBAMA THE PRESIDENCY.

Hitler's generals tried to keep the fuehrer from making suicidal mistakes. Who will stop the GangStern?

Hi 5:37pm,

I understand. I am trying to learn WHY Zuma Dogg is endorsing Bernie Parks.

Is it because he doesn't want MRT?

Haikula,
5:08 here.
Jon Barton is a long time SEIU operative who has for several years been assigned to prop up the Freeman "administration". Although a lower-down-the-food-chain staffer with the demeanor of a used car dealer, Barton is intimately involved in the corrupt relationship between SEIU and the California nursing home bosses and the Nursing Home Alliance agreement. Having worked with Freeman for years, Barton was aware of Tyrone's doings and is believed to have shared his concerns about Freeman's corruption and womanizing.
One step up the food chain is Jim Philliou, a top level Stern operative responsible for growth in California (mergers, acquisitions, organizing). With a legal degree and far more polished than Barton, Philliou has on at least one occasion publicly expressed misgivings about Freeman's operation, and has acknowledged having shared his concerns directly with Stern at least two years ago.
Dave Kieffer is Stern's top national operative for dealing with the nursing home industry. Kieffer is totally corporate and is the driving force behind SEIU's secret deals and sweetheart 'template' agreements with nursing home employers whereby SEIU gets to "organize" the sites the bosses designate, and the workers lose their right to speak out in behalf of their co-workers and patients.
These secret deals are at the heart of the disput between Stern and his detractors at the UHW West.
It's unimaginable that Barton and Philliou would not have informed Kieffer in detail about the crap with Tyrone, and it's inconceivable that Kieffer would not have briefed Stern in detail.
I hope that helps.

As I write this, the FBI is at the offices of SEIU Local 721.
(Remember the Stern-appointed local boss and head of SEIU State Council, Annelle Grajeda, who was removed from her three union posts for having her gigolo on the union payroll in a no-show job while he was also collecting his salary as an employee of LA County?)
That is Local 721!!!
You gotta love Andy Stern!

Sorry Haikula, I can't answer for Zuma because I haven't read why. If he did, I would be calling him to try and change his mind. But I have a feeling it is definitely union-related.

Very interesting stuff. I confess that I'm a newbie on this subject. It is good to see that once in a while, these brick houses can tumble when the mortar is made of too much sand.

Thanks for the information. The learning here is a two (or three) way street.

You guys are missing the real scoop. Parks is former FBI. And, who is doing the investigating? The Feds. Parks, Sr. and Jr. are like Bush, Sr., Bush, Jr. and Jeb during the Bush/Gore race in Florida. Check it out.

Lots of people have some kind of "FBI .... Academy" on their resume. If you search it and look it up, its usually some kind of one-week or less "training seminar". There was a head of an IT department who had one of these on the resume, too.
