R.I.P. Tim Russert and all our missing DADS on this Father Day
As one who grew up in a fatherless home, Father Day has become a day to honor friends who now are bless to be call "DADS". Yet on this day we celebrate Fatherhood, lets take a moment to cherish the fathers who are no longer with us.
Whether they be the likes of Tim Russert, our young Fathers who have died fighting for their country, LAPD Officer Randal Simmons and teachers who were father figures in my case (and grammar correctors on occasion). Lets take a vow to spend the day in "Celebration of Dad" both living and others in a better place.
.......and to David, I know you are smiling on your children today from above, peace.

Christ, if i heard ONE MORE TRIBUTE to a guy that no one knew, I will...
You'd think that with all of these tributes, the guy was the Pope. Good interviewer. That's it. You didn't know him. Meet The Press went on this morning, as life will when all of us pass. HE WASN'T ZUMA DOGG, Y'ALL. YEA, YEA

Amazing. Some of you people are real jerks!

No, Higby. Life goes on the very second after we die. This has been going on since Friday. The guy was a biggie in his industry. We get that.
Just because it's YOUR blog and YOU can't move on, don't bring us all down.
I guess you're just going to take your bally and go home, since this didn't get 58 posts, right?

You should hope that you will achieve this many tributes. I dont think you will. You are not easy to like.

About the "one more tribute" complaints,
As they say on radio, if you don't like what you hear on the station, change it.
Giving some thought to what a person has done in his life and to what his presence has done to affect people during that life is what we are talking about.
Many people want to comment, to leave their acknowledgement of this impact. Since many saw the same things in his character, thoughts and actions, there just might be something genuine and good to his life, so much different from others in the political arena.
Just a single opinion.
