Ahhhh, be still my heart. Thanks for the nostalgia. I wonder what they look like now?

So like 20 years ago I made out with a girl (who was probably like 4-5 years older than me) who dated someone from KC and The Sunshine Band, it might have even been KC himself.

OMG do not suggest we have to find out what they look like now. Let's just keep it dreamy, okay?

I can't tell you how much I hated them and this song. Oh god.

Bit of trivia about the outfit, called "Roller Strollers" It was a symbol of their poverty, growing up. The wide plaid bands sewed on to the bottoms of their trousers was what their moms would do when they outgrew their clothes and were too poor to buy new. It became a big fashion trend in the UK, though never really caught on here.

They had another great song that was used in the funeral segment of Love, Actually, but I can't remember what it was. Anyway, this is a great post, Valley Doll. I've played the song 10 times and danced with my cat.

Valley Doll you misrepresent my taste in women. Age (within the law and common sense of course) and/or race is irrelevant to me. In my life I've dated woman born as early as 1954 and as late as 1982.
However in my early-mid 20s about 3/4 the woman I dated were 2-5 years older than me. When I hit 30 for some reason they were all almost 5-10 years younger and since then pretty much have been.
Like the readers really care about this! :)
