The Dark Side of Politics
Vice President Cheney recently joked that his wife embraced the idea of his being called "Darth Vader" because it "humanized him." But Sith Lords notwithstanding, there is a "dark side" of politics (sometimes called "Hardball") and Colbert King talks about it today in his Washington Post piece on the presidential campaign.
King suggests that there have been three key lessions taught to the young Padawan of Chicago by Senator Clinton and the Republican right-wing.
Lesson One: The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Lesson Two: Resort to McCarthyism.
Lesson Three: Getting too big for your britches is costly.

Obama comparing Hillary and George to McCarthyists is disgusting, pathetic whining. She's been hit with a lot worse from Day One, while he's been pampered and lionized. But now he cries McCarthying, racism, unfair labeling by association (if Hillary's spiritual advisor had been a rabid racist like Wright, she'd have been gone from Day One), and looked like a pouting idiot at that debate. He couldn't and didn't answer the questions. HE's been giving a free ride so long, he's been allowed to carve out HIS own space, and just orate like the black preachers do, rouse and inspire -- but fail on policy and substance and character.
Lord HELP US from being stuck with this guy. He disses Hillary for precisely the reason she'd be the better Democrat: because she's more moderate, while he's the darling of the most extreme liberal left. IF he gets the nom, McCain will win.

I don't exactly agree that McCain will win. IF she gets the nomination, she will be our next President and it won't be much of a horrid campaign. IF Obama gets the nomination, we should be prepared for a fight like we've not seen in a few years. McCain and the Republicans will beat the crap out of Obama and he'll only be hold his temper for so long and then BOOM, he'll explode.

The race-baiting and McCarthy tactics started with the Billarys when they realized how strong a candidate Obama had become. He was slow to respond, because that was not the game plan he intended to follow. Then he got criticized for not responding quickly enough....
I ain't gonna vote for the Billarys, no way. NO WAY......

Sure, race doesn't play a role in the race, it has nothing to do with why O is polling 80% among the black vote in Carolina, even tho Bill stuck his neck out for civil rights when it wasn't popular. The old black gen remembers, the younger ones can't find Iraq or Afghanistan on the map, or know what Tibet is... His hollow b. s. appeals to hollow minds.
And it's Obama who deflects any questions about his racist friends, or his shady dealings with a crook to get his house and start his roll to current wealth, by accusations of racism, what a cry-baby.
