3:46 AM Missives with Spell Check...maybe.

A certain ex. blogger here at Mayor Sam would of been 46 minutes ahead of this into the future......

That rant aside, here are some bloggin, flippin missives on topics that normal people mull over with the sun...........

DEATH OF A LEGEND:
Academy Award Winning Actor, Civil Rights Marcher, and Conservative Activist Charlton Heston passed away yesterday at 84. Heston will always be remember for his roles in Cinematic Classics such as "Ben Hur", "Planet of the Apes" and most enduring, "The Ten Commandments".

Off screen, Heston real life roles included marching for Civil Rights, espousing Conservative Principles, and defending the rights to bear arms. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Heston Family at this time of profound lost.

DENSITY WARS, "LUKE YAROSLAVSKY" vs. "DARTH REYES":
The "GUY WHO IS NOT RUNNING FOR MAYOR" is the subject of scribe Mark Haefele's Op-Ed on all things Density. This comes with contrary comments from the "MASTER PLANNER IN CD 1".

CHIEF BRATTON ON RACE:
The "MOST POWERFUL POLITICAL LEADER IN L.A." is facing the music in the African-American Community over his thoughts on Brown on Black violence. Withstanding the counter spin from the "OLD POLE DANCING HAG ON SPRING STREET", the African-American Community is wary of the trend of violence against blacks. Are you listening Tony V. ??

HUIZAR IN DUBAI????:
First thought upon reading this was to think that the "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN AS JOSE HUIZAR" was attending an "MIDNIGHT EXPRESS FILM FESTIVAL".

With respects to the "FORMER BLOGGIN MENTOR OF MAYOR SAM" who broke this story, lets "HASSLE" deeper and play "CONNECT THE DOTS".

*Who just bought in as a minority partner for the "GRAND AVENUE PROJECT"??

**Who does Billionaire Ron Burkle do business with??

***Who paid the "IMPEACHED PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON" $15.4 million dollars??

****Who is a "CO-CHAIR" of the "MRS. BILL CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT CAMPAIGN"??

*****Who was partying with Burkle and Clinton in New York and attempted to "COCK BLOCK" Rush Limbaugh??

******......and who replace the "COCK BLOCKER" in CD 14??, Burkle's new little buddy??

GREAT SUNRISE TO ALL.................

Wow! Red Spot knows something, but he is going to mess up the whole story with his arrogant, "Who is this" and "Who is that." You just blew it. You should have just presented the details. Have you ever seen journalism in the newspaper that reports with questions? I'm glad I came to this blog so someone could pull a Captain Jack routine. Why don't you just stop playing games and tell a story for once.

Here's Red Spot's version of the DWP story:

What certain governing body of elected officials made a decision that will affect the bottom line of a certain agency that people rely on for one of the most important services one needs throughout the day.

Or, you could just say, City Council voted today to approve DWP rate hike.

Which way would Z-man say it? People aren't coming to this blog to read a mystery novel.

Bratton walks a fine line on race

http://www.latimes.com

In recent weeks, the chief has been bombarded by challenges on the issue after he asserted that racial violence between blacks and Latinos has been overblown by the media and the public.

His campaign met with skepticism last week over coffee and cookies at an invitation-only meeting with black journalists and commentators at the LAPD's 77th Street station. For more than an hour, Bratton smiled and nodded as some participants directed barbs his way, insisting that blacks were being targeted by Latino gang members.

http://www.dailynews.com/breakingnews/ci_8826746

Gang-member violence climbing in courts

Even as Los Angeles County's sprawling court system seeks to mete out justice, security is becoming a growing concern as the number of threats against its 600 judges, commissioners and referees has more than doubled in the past two years.

With an estimated 80,000 gang members in more than 1,000 gangs in the region, the number of Los Angeles County murder trials involving gang members rose from 121 in 2004 to 186 in 2006.

More than a dozen courthouses also border or are located in "gang territory," including sites in Van Nuys, San Fernando, Long Beach, Downey, Pomona, Norwalk, West Covina, El Monte and Whittier.

Red Spot,

Is this what you are talking about? (Is this related?)

n April 2006, Ron Burkle accused New York Post columnist Jared Paul Stern of attempting to extort money from him in exchange for more favorable Page Six coverage. Page Six, a popular and influential gossip column in the New York Post, appears to have increased their coverage of Burkle's private life over the past year. Ron Burkle secretly videotaped several private meetings between him and Jared Paul Stern, and has since presented the tapes to the FBI. During the meetings, Stern allegedly asked Burkle for a $220,000 investment in his clothing business in exchange for better Page Six coverage. No charges were ever filed against Stern, however, and Stern announced plans to sue Burkle for defamation. Stern filed suit against Burkle, Frank Renzi a retired United States Secret Service agent and Burkle’s chief of security, Richard Di Sabatino, a private investigator with extensive ties to jailed private investigator Anthony Pellicano, and several others. on March 22, 2007, on several counts including defamation and civil conspiracy.

You keep saying no one reads my blog, but it was ranked #11 this week on BNN. Sacramento Bee was #10, and LA Observed #9. So that's not "no one".

And keep in mind, every time a comment is posted, it boosts the BNN ranker. So Mayor Sam is #7 this week. And every time some nut copied and pasted the same comment 50 times, plus all the other nut case comments this week...it all added to the Mayor Sam ranking.

Take out the nut case comments, and you are talking about something much less than Top 15 or Top 20.

So I don't think it's accurate to say, "No one is reading my blog", when my blog may even have more unique eyeballs per day than Mayor Sam.

But I am more than happy to be #2 to Mayor Sam's blog. He is the big dogg blog people like to check in with...and as someone who has a one month old blog...I will be happy being #2 from now till the end of time.

Look at the content on my blog. You don't get a third of it here, because I've been putting a lot of time into it this month. So enjoy it while I'm able to squeeze it out. And just for trying to spin with lies: 18,000 unique page views in a month isn't "no one"...I think I need to teach you a little bit about "leadership".

April 06, 2008 10:17 AM

Blogger LA Daily Blogger said:

Here's a summary of the same old pitfalls that are made time and time again; by industry after industry; and corporation after corporation. So no offense Mayor, you have the same problems Ford, GM, Proctor & Gamble or Japanese maufacturers post-WWII had. Deming is the cure. But I warn you: It challenges the status quo, requires massive transformation at the hands and mind of a true reforming leader and requires you to provide a work environment that creates worker pride and joy, instead of angry secret posts against their boss on Mayor Sam and through emails to ZD. And losers usually resist change.

First of all, for any transformation to occur (in this case, to create the most efficient, innovative, world-class City Hall to prepare for the City's massive challenges in the present and future), you must have a leader with the desire to transform the organization and the vision in which to do so. All transformation starts at the top.

In this case, let's just assume Antonio (or Schwarzenegger), or whomever WANTS to transform their organization just so they can point to something they did, come re-election/higher office time: Then, we can start to discuss some of the things that cause inefficency and beuracracy in hopes of helping you "transform the organization". (Get the City in shape for the battle ahead and become the world-class jewel of a City Hall that the international market can look to.)

Enemy #1: Fear. Fear is something that is hard to measure with statistics, so it goes unchecked. However, "management by fear" is the biggest source of inefficiency at any job or goverment agency. Fear robs the employee of it's "pride and joy". It causes people to pass the ball; say things like, "That's not my department" (when they know the answer) -- because they are too scared they will get in trouble, even if they DO the right thing. And again, a work environment of fear starts at the top of the organization. In this case, that would be the mayor of any given City. You can judge customer service/how the customer/constituent will be treated, by how the staff is treated, by the boss. (ZD can tell a lot about a Councilmember, by their staff, as well...beyond the diversionary smiles.)

It's up to management to train and educate workers to the process, help them all be able to think as you would, and give them the power to make those decisions and take those actions to handle the problem and get it done. (THAT'S the Deming take on "Empowerment.")

The car salesman who can finanlize the deal, without having to get apporval from another boss, will allow the deal to be closed sooner, allowing the salesman to move on to the next customer more quickly, and the boss/manager can use his time for something else, other than holding his employees hand, by refusing the salesman to approve his own deals, because he/she is a control freak -- who is his/her own worst enemy to efficiency and an environment that generates "pride and joy" in the workplace, and therefore, product and services.

You also have to strive to break down the barriers between departments that add to the inefficiency. For example in the auto industy. It doesn't do any good to design an automobile that the facotry line can't build. In radio, many formats bite the dust -- not because of low ratings, but because the sales department and programming department are on different pages. And that's because the goal of the sales department (sell as many commericals as possible) is in direct conflict with the goals of the programming department (the least amount of commercials as possible) since programming bonus incentives CONFLICT with the goals of the sales department.

NOW, apply that concept to all the different departments at City Hall...Each department with their own projected quotas and statistical hoops to jump through; and no wonder all these departments are working independently, instead of interdependantly. They are pitted against each other, from the start. (Tony, call ZD to help you with a new flow chart and we'll talk about the problems with quotas and commissions and all that.)

What ZD would have Tony Robbins come in to say, to help enforce this concept would be, "You don't work for Councilmember Blank, or the Blank department...You work for The City of Los Angeles and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa."

And when City workers know that the Mayor wants everyone to have a one-time re-training session (like Captain Musquiz did with his officers regarding the Brown Act), and they know the Mayor recognizes that THE PEOPLE are the Cities biggest asset -- not the property, or equiptment, or even the building itself -- but the people; and the City needs everyone to take on new individual leadership (empowerment) to please go ahead and do those little things (human "fudge factor" if you will) that allows the machine to move along, uninterrupted. The workers are your biggest asset because THEY are the ones in the front lines; doing the jobs, and see everyday where things are going right and where things are going wrong. Empower them to answer the question, fix the glitch, or close the deal.

That's how you get employees to stop being lazy and simply saying, "That's not my department." I know you won't even be able top fathom this concept. But everyone should be able to do everyone else's job at the cafeteria. The server, should be able to be a cashier (if someone gets sick), or become busser (if the tables are overflowed), or become hostess if the line is getting long. (I know, you're head is exploding.) The cashier should be able to answer the question the customer has, without having to "get a manager." (Then you have customers waiting in line because the cashier has to get the manager, only to press the button the cashier could just have easily pressed.

But management across America, not just City Hall, likes to keep employee feedback at bay. "We know what's right. We have paid consultants ealuating the situation and coming up with an expensive report of suggested recommendations." When the worker could add some input the report would never uncover.

For example, statistics show workplace injuries are way up. Top managment becomes aware of the situtation and gets involved..."How could this be? Tell these idiots to be more careful. Hire a saftey workplace consultant to give a seminar as to how to be more careful." Failing to realize the problem is the unsafe railing that isn't scrwed in tightly enough and you have a water leak in the roof that is making the factory floor slippery in the morning. But workers don't say anything, cause they don't know who to turn to, or don't want to seem like they are making problems. Because they are working in a fear based environment. (Deming says "fix the system" for the workers-- don't bark meaningless exhortations about safety when you have slippery floors and loose railings.)

That's a good starting point, for now. If you wanna read Deming's 14 points, here they are Deming's 14 points (Quality Management) and do a Deming Google Search".

"Spolling" mistakes aside...there's always Spellcheck.

Glad to see the Times is running with the story: David Z has been doing stories about how Reyes has attacked the 'EVIL WESTSIDE," all HOA's, and especially "the hillside federations" for not allowing his slum projects in Bel Air and Brentwood, "areas which can absorb all this energy, in your playgrounds, in your schools -- THE ILLEGALS AND KIDS FROM THE HOODS ALREADY HAVE THE SCHOOLS MORON REYES --" Yikes!!! Yeah, Bel Air is longing for "the energy of Glassell Park" in their areas.

Reyes ads, "As legislators, it's withing our power to do this." The MORON IS SERIOUS!!! He's got that fellow fool Jan Perry on his side, blaming the "Evil Westside" for making kids in their hoods fat, by not allowing their gangbangers to move to Holmby Hills and Mulholland Drive "for social justice," and caring "about property values."

These two are so stupid, they've even been duped by that sleaziest of all billboard companies, Clear Channel/CBS, into blaming the westside and ocean communities for their not giving Jan Perry and REyes some money towards a park! (Which, in REyes' district, all become instant gangbanger hangouts, with the city providing fortress walls, for their private dealings in drugs and walk-up killings.) -- See Dennis Hathaway/CityWatch, "Jan Perry Plays the Divide and Conquor Card."

Good for the L A TIMES, Zahniser and NOW an Op Ed by someone else, for keeping their noses to the news. Even the Daily News under Kaye never mentioned this, although ALL HOA's, including the Valley, are in Death Ray Reyes' sights.

Red Spot, the fact that TJ Huizar's and RJ in the Hills Death Ray Reyes' flacks are so busy trying to discredit you and the Times/Zahniser over the weekend, proves you're on the right trail -- exposing something they hoped no one would notice, since they count on no one caring about what goes on in East L A, like that Las Villas mess, Elephant Hills, etc.

BUT THEY'VE DECLARED WAR ON THE WHOLE CITY and even the Big Bosses downtown don't like that.

Red Spot, What you should REALLY do is post YouTube clips of Death Ray Reyes attacking all of CD's 5 and 11 AND Zev Yaroslavsky, for having the audacity to not allow him to put his projects next to the parks of these districts -- March 18/08 AND post his rant of 4/1/08, under the MLK "Peace Weekend" discussion, where he used his ENTIRE time to blast the same people, "the hillside federations and HOA's," for denying him the right to take over their neighborhoods, parks, schools, by putting the kids of his district into projects in these districts. And adding ominously, 'As legislators, it's within our power to do this."

You MUST post up YouTubes on these two episodes, and if you find them, add him and Perry in PLUM -- which this wacko heads -- going after the westside on billboards and parks.

You will be a HERO and save Lincoln Heights in the same fell swoop.

Haefele is way, way, way too P. C. in his article, and ends up making Zev sound naive - and Zev is NO fool.

WHERE should affordable housing be built, if not in the hillsides of L A and from Westwood to the ocean? What about Downtown and south -- oh, wait, that area's being "exempted" by Gail Goldberg from housing development.
What if all the building there wasn't high-end, and was truly "affordable?" -- These areas are essentially deserted at night and could "absorb all that energy" that Reyes is talking about -- the energy he blames for crime, gang violence and other explosive behavioirs.

Hey, what about birth control advocacy, Reyes? Instead of every low-income maid and gardener having half a dozen or more kids, how about they only have as many as they can afford to take care of properly, educate and look after -- you know, like the "anglos" whose areas you want to take over?

My kids and grandkids can't afford to live near me on the westside because the schools are so poor, they must go to expensive private schools here, which eats up the money it would take to buy a home. So they've moved to Thousand Oaks, where they can get a condo in an open, airy complex with a playground and lots of nice families, for $400,000.

My kids would LOVE to live in the hills, Bel Air or Brentwood -- where Reyes wants to put his projects full of impoverished illegal immigrants -- but they can't. BECAUSE it's the illegals who have taken over the schools, making quality of life impossible. NOW Reyes wants to take MY KIDS' birthright, give it at MY taxpayer expense to illegals, to turn my street into Drew St./Glassell Park, and send our lifetime investments in our homes crashing?

Marxist insanity. He is literally wanting to impose a Bolshevik REvolution here, turning society on its head, leading to all-out social and financial collapse of the city. "Blade Runner" has moved from downtown to the rest of town.

Sure, Sam, meant Michael Moore, not Walter. -- Who's making some good points, too bad some people with an agenda to ruin the city are calling him a racist.

I'm a liberal, "progressive Jews" whose parents were downright radical, and our people talk about how we were "the other" in Egypt, came to this country in the early last century when we and other people were despised.

BUT people who justify illegal immigration by comparing it to Jewish history, are showing mental shabbiness. Many Jews talk about our people's responsibility to helping "the persecuted." But when Jews fled to Egypt, it was for fear of their and their babies' lives. When some Jews fled Russia in earlier decades, it was for fear of persecution. People from Darfur, Tibet and from Chavez's Venezuela and Columbian law enforcement, are fleeing persecution and danger.

The Mexicans coming here are sheer economic refugees. Many also talk openly about Aztlan and making us pay for "their culture," in our public schools, and have a sense of entitlement to taking social benefits. Our people and others from Europe, China, etc. didn't expect Americans to teach "our culture" in public school -- we've done it in our own communities, after school, NOT in lieu of the mainstream society.

I'm offended as a Jew by those of my community who try to desicrate the real history of our people, with these false analogies, which have led to a collapse of social systems here, gangs, etc. So I'm for Walter Moore. (NOT Michael!)

Charlton Heston was an american patriot who knew what made america great. Europe is no ideal to strive for. We have more rights than in any country in Europe.

I remember when Johnny Depp was saying that he loved to live in France because they didn't call french fries freedom fries. I wonder what he thinks of the riots that have plagued that country due to uncontrolled immigration and being a socialist state for the last 4 years. I wonder what he thinks of the dress code that the french have adopted that prohibits muslim women from wearing scarves or covering their faces or head when they go to school. Who are the Fascists now? There is no 1st amemdment that grants freedom of the press like in the America in most of europe. In Germany you print Mein Kampf. I think that Hitler was a crazy Nazi socialist loon who wanted to kill people but in america you can buy mein kampf and you can buy Marxist books as well.

As far as gun control goes Sarah Brady wants to have guns outlawed (evidenced by her agreement with the DC gun ban) yet buys her son (who is under age under 21 years) a hunting rifle (also known as a sniper rifles to anti-gun nuts). It had a scope and could kill at 1000 yards. What a hypocrite. She should of been prosecuted for a straw purchase and thrown in jail, because if it were anybody else her group would of been demanding that.

Michael Moore shows up under false pretenses to interview Mr. Heston.
I saw a Larry Elders documentary where he does the same thing to Lardo Moore and Lardo looks like a big fat fool and runs away from Elder and says that he will talk to him later but never does. He can't take the facts on guns. He is too chicken to talk about guns with Larry Elder because he knows that he will be smoked.

All of these gun control nuts are going crazy right now because the Supreme Court will soon rule that the 2nd Amendment is an individual right and that bothers the hell out of them.

I saw our stupid Mayor on TV two weeks ago on the ABC sunday show and he was asked if he was in favor of banning rap music for its violent lyrics and guns. His answer was that you could ban guns but not lyrics because of the first amendment. Well what about the second amendment. This amendment means nothing to an ACLU advocate like Villaraigosa, but its ok to degrade women and advocate violence. I am not in favor of either but you either believe in the constitution or you don't.

You'd think it's an April's Fool joke, but the only Fool is Reyes.

Huizar, Alarcon, Perry support him. Maybe some others.

The moron lashed out against those who "put property values ahead of social values," who "don't let our kids live where they should," and threatened: IF they don't want to do this, "as legislators, we have the ability to make it happen."

The moron is NOT joking. The Times has been way too easy on him, made Zev look like the clueless one in today's Op Ed, unfortunately (afraid of seeming un-PC? Why? No one but idiots are on Reyes' side, the Big Money like Broad/Riordan don't want these braindead Mexicans riling up the whole westside against AB1818 totally.)

This is NOT about AB18181, which is about putting some higher density (with community participation, ideally, and classy designs) near mass transit and on boulevards. NO, this is about trashing single- family neighborhoods with cholos, "who will fill your schools -- they've done that, sadly -- parks, and streets with their energy."

INSANE. Post YouTube video of THAT rant all over town, and he's dead. He'll be a NATIONAL laughingstock: send it to Lou Dobbs, O'Reilly, even the mainstream evening news, especially ABC -- which was very critical of Rev. Wright's racist, anti-white, anti-America rants too.

BUT like fool Reyes says: HE's a legislator and head of PLUM, not a preacher, and "we can do it."

That YouTube of Mexicans assaulting someone is bad enough, BUT easy to brush off, as "well, don't go to their barrio."

BUT Reyes on a continued campaign to bring THAT barrio to the westside, is another matter.

IF I knew how to do this, this would be a sure-fire national headliner:

Post YouTube video (from lacity.org Council video replays) of 3/18 AND 4/1, Reyes threatening the westside in the above rants;

INTERCUT with this video, or have his rants in a voiceover, and say, "This is what Reyes and his allies want to bring to the toniest, oldest neighborhoods of the westside, among the most famous in the country, seen to many only in celeb mags and 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.'"

IF there's an issue with copyright (I doubt it, I'm sure the guy who shot this and was attacked would be happy to lend support) anyone can shoot video of the barrio, with Reyes' voiceover threats to L A.

YOU WILL GET ON EVERY TV NETWORK.

Sadly, zuma nutt is the only one who's been proficient posting video but of the WRONG people, missing the real shocker under our noses. Anyway, the message needs a more presentable messenger! (Or just post anonymously, just not ZD.)
