Outtakes from CD 14, The "CUT AND PASTE" Capital of Los Angeles

Hola and a "GRANDE SI SE PUEDE" in honor of Cesar Chavez.
Many thanks to the man who kept the farm fields "LEGAL" and granted me a three day weekend starting tonight.
YES I CAN!!!, that is what the "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN AS JOSE HUIZAR" is saying to those who thought that facial hair and "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN AS JOSE HUIZAR" was oxymoronic.

Last Friday the "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN AS JOSE HUIZAR" was sprouting facial hair that formed a "SOUL PATCH" and a dim outline of a "GOATEE".

Now I for one remember Chato, Juan, Memo and others who had facial hair in their second year of sixth grade, so not to bash on the "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN AS JOSE HUIZAR", but hey man, welcome to the world of shaving.

On the subject of a different Chavez, that being Chavez Ravine. We in the very near future may need to create the weekly "CHAVEZ RAVINE AWARD".

This will go to the Special Interest who donates money to the "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN AS JOSE HUIZAR" for the purpose of developement and the resulting displacement of the current populations to far off Section 8 ghettos. Candidates so far would include the "Fifteen Group", "El Mercado", and "USC".

ASSEMBLYMAN JOHN PEREZ??
This is looking like a sure thing with Ricardo Lara now accepting Laura Chick signed paychecks, and that other candidate who was married to Cynthia Ruiz???, but the Perez team will not take anything for granted. Former School Board candidate Enrique Gasca will run the campaign. This is the same guy who had a "REPUBLICAN" from Salinas, connected to the Chacon/Urteaga /Robles?? Machine in Southeast L.A., as a campaign manager for his school board race. Almost ran out of dots to connect.

Also as a Public Service, we provide the link to Cal Access so that you can follow the dinero. Here are some of the donors,
Thomas Calderon $3,600.00
Keith Brackpool $7,200.00????
Teamsters $7,200.00
Cecilia Estolano $500.00
Ari Swiller $1,000.00????
Assemblyman Portatino $3,600.00 among others.
CUTTING THE SPIN:
Link here to see how to cut and edit "SPIN", in this case provided by Eliot Sekuler.
ASK A MEXICAN "NO MAS":
The popular column by a "TIO TACO FROM ORANGE COUNTY" is no more. We hereby nominate "QUIXOTE/HIROSHI/CULO/PROFESSOR" to answer your questions on barrio popular culture from his/her multiple perspectives.
SATURDAY PRE GAME NOTES:
Did "LA GORDA/ROSIE O' GARCIA" sister just get appointed to a commission by the Mayor??
What Public Housing Project just fail their HUD inspection Jordan Downs or Ramona Gardens??
Big hint, future name could be "GARDEN OF TROY".

Why did "The Mexican" bail out? It doesn't figure. A couple nasty complaints? Can't take criticism? Maybe. His feature says "He's a media whore". My guess is that he'll be back. Either he's manic and he's all over the place or else he's waiting for a better gig.

MS would be lucky to get the guy... wishful thinking.

RS CD 14, I will be happy to assist in any way I can but get one thing straight de voladas. There is only one don quixote, a very distinct and singular figure que soy yo. Do not get me confused with any imitations or shadow people like DON CULO, HIroshi, or anybody else.
I am don quixote, knight errant, protector of maidens, widows, and the underdog.
Tengo que ir a la batalla contra los sanguijuela's y malcriado's, aqui y el mundo en general.

A sus pies Senora's y a sus ordenes Caballero's.
es mi placer, siempre,

Don Quixote we all know about anony-mousa and the other xenophobes on this blog.

You are a welcome breath of fresh air, you have to be the most informed and most articulate reader of this blog. Kudos to Don Quixote the distinct and singular figure of L.A. politics. Since you first made your presence on this blog, I am sure you have attracted many more readers.

Fuck the crazy anony-mousa she has been exposed with constant vile vitriol comments about our hardworking mexican immigrants, who have built L.A. into a world class city. I am sure you have many supporters on this blog.

Que Viva Don Quixote, the best of the best will prevail over the vitriol of anony-mousa.

When are the lame ass reporters in LA going to do some real stories and investigate all that development money Huizar has been taking. Now, El Mercado the dump of a cucaracha hell hole wants to destroy homes and Huizar is supporting him. What an asshole!! Yup, Huizar needs to shave that shit on his face. Word is he's trying to look older but anytime a man starts to lose his hair on his head he tries to grow it on his face.

Is no one else troubled by the fact that there is no one competing for the 46th, because a deal was cut?

Perez does not even live in the district.

He has been APPOINTED TO ELECTED OFFICE. Just like Stalin did, just like the Nazis did. A good solid yes-man? We have a seat for you.

Villaraigosa and Fanian Nunez have destroyed our democracy! This is not a third-world country!

Yes, it would be good to have a real election in the 45th A.D., just as it would have been good to have a real election for CD7. But the political "machine" that has been trying to take over L.A. politics -- the way they have done this in Sacramento -- don't want open elections. They want CONTROL....

Also, don't believe that Cynthia Ruiz is married. If so, perhaps this is something fairly recent?

And as for Ricardo Lara, don't be surprised if they give him an appt. to a state board or commission that will pay $120,000 a year for two meetings a month....

Elliot Sekular can’t think for himself, he just parrots Autry’s agenda. Let’s see how Elliot, The Mayor, Huizar and their bunch can continue denying Autry’s purpose of looting the Southwest Museum. Now is in the news released on March 20, 2008. “Study Shows Autry Gained Control of the Southwest Museum Using A Misleading Merger Balance Sheet” Exposes Gene Autry Museum’s Long Touted $100 Million Endowment Fib.
Jackie Autry and other officers at the time of the Merger Agreement gave a misleading balance sheet to the Board of the Southwest Museum that showed the Autry had “current assets” exceeding $ 100 million dollars when in fact $ 98 Million were just a pledge to contribute and payable at the death of Mrs. Autry. That pledge cannot be converted into cash until she is gone and if she doesn’t changes her mind in the meantime.

So what all of this means? Autry’s intention from the very beginning was to steal the artifacts from the Southwest Museum and sell the land. What a gold mine!

Autry’s investment in the Southwest Museum has been to pay for politicians, lawyers, lobbyists, favors, propaganda and “wine and dine” to sell their agenda. An agenda that paints the Southwest Museum as decrepit building that is beyond repair.
An agenda that paints the Southwest Museum as decrepit building that is beyond repair. Autry lies, lies and lies again.

"GOV. MOONBEAM, PART TWO??"

California Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown spoke at the state Democratic Party convention today and, boy, did he sound an awful lot like a candidate for Golden State governor -– again.

Eerie.

Brown, who served two terms as governor from 1975 to 1983 before term limits took effect, reminded his Democratic audience assembled in San Jose of some of his "highlights," like getting rid of former Gov. Ronald Reagan’s bulletproof limousine and using a blue Plymouth from the state motor pool.

Brown said he kept the Plymouth for eight years and put 240,000 miles on it, adding: “Now that’s sustainability.”

He acknowledged his reputation for coming up with unconventional ideas as governor. “They didn’t call me Moonbeam for nothing,” said Moonbeam. “I worked hard to get that.”

Even so, Brown said, he accomplished more than his Republican successors. “I tried hard not to build freeways, but we built three times more than [Pete] Wilson and [George] Deukmejian combined,” he said of his Republican successors. “Even without trying we did more than those idiots.”

After blasting the Bush administration for its record on education and the environment, the current state attorney general and former Oakland mayor hinted to his partisan audience that he might run for governor again in 2010.

“I don’t do much these days except sue people,” he said. “But maybe one of these days I’ll get around to doing more than that, and maybe you’ll help me.”

Maybe.

While more than 100,000 baseball fans left the Los
Angeles Memorial Coliseum with happy memories after Saturday's record-breaking
baseball game, several thousand may be nursing memories today that are not
quite so shiny.
Thousands of fans didn't make it to the 7 p.m. first-pitch ceremonies
because they were stuck in the parking lot at Dodger Stadium, waiting for an
overwhelmed fleet of buses for a free five-mile ride across downtown to the
Coliseum.
Some of them were still stuck at Dodger Stadium at 8 o'clock, calling
local television stations to complain they were missing the historic event.
Dodgers officials had promised 40 shuttle buses for the trip, but once
estimates of the afternoon crowd swelled they added every vehicle they could
find to the fleet until it consisted of 100 buses and vans.
``We transported 35,000 people, and I think we alleviated some of the
traffic around the Coliseum,'' said Dodgers vice president Josh Rawitch, in an
interview with the Daily News. ``By 8 p.m., no one was at Dodger Stadium.''
Unorganized chaos marked the lines for bus rides out of Chavez Ravine's
parking lots, said some fans.
``There was an unbelievable amount of people in line,'' said fan Scott
Strull to the Daily News. ``We got out and flagged down a cab on Sunset and
Elysian. We got here in the second inning.''
The start of the game was delayed as the Coliseum filled with 115,300
ticketholders. That crowd is twice the size of a Dodger Stadium sellout, and
was the largest crowd in the history of either California or Major League
Baseball.
In the area surrounding Exposition Park, USC and the Coliseum, traffic
was heavy but not unprecedented for an area used to hosting big crowds for
Trojan football games, police said.
