The People Love Zuma Dogg!
It's a common happening. Zuma Dogg posts something. The usual clown continually posts the usual rants about "Homeless Dave," "begging for coffee at Starbucks," "Higby I've told you he's taking your blog down." Yea, you did. You even have in person. Repeatedly. I get what you're saying. And once again we run across something like this today:
Dave, you are an insecure loser who tries to act big. It is the usual cover for inadequacy. And boy, are you inadequate. Your senseless replies and insistence on continuing to post a reply to every other post is disgusting. I hope the guy posts all over the Internet. I am going to help and to encourage him, because we are all sick of you and your ADD hyper sensitivity. You caused nothing but chaos at City Hall and now it is your turn to reap the whirlwind. Put up your post and go do something else; take a shower, shave, wash your hair, your clothes, or (heaven forbid) go get a job!! Or, go crawl back in your hole that looks like a van.
Dude, get some new material.
The truth is the people love Zuma Dogg. Ever been at a public event where he's walked in the room? Its almost like Barack Obama as activists and elected alike - even those he's significantly skewerd - display a toothy grin at the site of the Dogg. City employees might feel the wrath of ZD if they're shady and corrupt - but its often many of them who secretly advise Zuma and trust him that their identities are safe and that the information is used only to fight corruption.
And ZD has never thrown any of them under the bus.
I get way more positive e-mail and communication about Zuma than negative. People ask about him all the time. He's sort of the everyman that were he making movies today, Frank Capra would surely feature him.

Thumbs up for ZD from Abby D -I've seen the magic of Zuma Dogg first hand while at City Hall last summer presenting our No Home Depot in S-T case. He was greeted like a rock star when he walked into Council Chambers. He's had an impact on our City; he's brought attention to some very important issues, with humor, thoughtfullness, and good intentions. It's always a treat for me when I have a chance encounter with Zuma Dogg.

He's taken those lovely intangibles -- community and citizenship -- and worked it into something we can see and understand. Citenship as performance art. It makes it live. It's never happened before.

Mayor Sam I wouldn't go so far as the comparison with Obama. But I will say Zuma has the biggest balls in this city. Everyone expected him to fold and be a kiss ass to the lame ass politicans we have but he posts the corruption all around this city and we appreciate and thank him. Here's an idea. Take off a few months. Search for impressive juice(not this "he's homeless and he bugs Garcetti crap) and return here with dirt. Maybe Zuma's married an old lady for her money, or he pretends to be the man of the people though he's secretly living with a wealthy lobbyist in Malibu. Prove him out to be a fake, because he said himself he's homeless when the whole Zuma wave started.
And if you can get that juice, Higby will be the first to toss Zuma under the bus. But you can't get it, so best move on.
If I lived in a Malibu mansion, who cares? Are my blog threads and public comments only meaningful because of my downgraded living conditions? I hope not. I'd like to think that someday I'll be living in a Malibu mansion AND still blog and do public comment. Just be able to do it better. What you should be doing, is going through all the issues I blog about and shoot holes in my coverage. That's what is important, I hope. Not whether I live in my van, my friends couch, or my own mansion.

I hear ya. LA once had all this funky affordable housing and when that goes the artists start bailing out, too. LA is slowly losing the arts community like San Francisco did. A community can't house struggling artists if the artists can't find a house.
I found out about Zuma dogg channel surfing one night and have loved the dogg ever since. U got my vote zd, though at the end of the day anyones better than that moron tony villar; I hope to god he isn't re-elected.
