This to show Mrs. Bill Clinton that there are some outposts of Free Enterprise that can provide higher taxes for the Clinton Campaign's economic proposal that was introduce in the City of Commerce.
No one knows if the Mayor shared with Mrs. Bill Clinton other examples of economic activities in "EAST LOS", referring to the Paletas, Chicklets, Peanuts, or Snow Cone/Corn Vendors.
How about showing Mrs. Bill Clinton the striving side walk "Swap Meets"? One can spend plenty of time gawking at the wares for sales on the streets near Soto and Cesar Chavez. Yet then, I may want to extend their "TAX FREE SANCTUARY" to the legal business owners who's tax receipts are wasted on "BROKEN BRIDGES".
But as "LIL O TONIO" hawks all things Mrs. Bill Clinton, staffers, managers and city employees are deep into the facade that is the need for Prop S.
One should remember the millions of dollars in uncollected taxes that civic leaders fail to assess to the likes of these side walk vendors, due to racial pandering from the likes of Villaraigosa, and members of the City Council. Just one of many reasons to vote NO on Prop S.

In Chinatown, I asked the grocery market owner if the person with the fruit stand in front of his door was part of his store? (It looked like an outdoor display that stores set-up to try to entice customers.)
The store owner shook his head and said, “No”. It’s just something you have to live with I guess. Since the illegal fruit vendor was all set up and cutting off business at the pass.
East L.A., Downtown, South L.A.: On Crenshaw Blvd it looks like a giant flea market, right there on the street, selling any type of bootleg/pirated merchandise, while undercutting the stores they are set up in front of.

life. How about the 26 (maybe more now) centers called "El Centro de Amistad" scattered in Los Angeles, each with full staff, whose purpose is to provide legal and assimilation counselling for Mexican families. It provides free after school programs, free food, oh, the list is endless. It
pretty much duplicates what the school district gives out anyhow, so the Mexicans can get double. Look up, "El Centro de Amistad" and you will see it is not only in CA.
Then, for fun do a google search and look up "Baldo" by Hector Cantu
and Carlos Castellanos. They are a regular in the funnies section of the newspaper and what makes this strip unique is that it consistently shows that whites are ugly, ignorant racists.
I think this is in other places outside of LA, but there are hundreds of places up and down the state that offer free English classes at night schools, continuing eds, community colleges, etc. These ESL classes
have pushed out classes that used to be more academic oriented, for folks working in the day, but wanting to finish their degree in the evening. No more. My local community college has 2 pages of ESL classes alone (totalling
probably over 50 classes just from that one school), yet offer only 3 biology classes, and that includes both day and night time class. An interesting side note is that the ESL classes throughout the state are free yet those
wanting to learn Spanish must pay for the class, like any other class.
Nothing like reverse discrimination now, is it?
I shouldn't have started writing, the list can go on and on, but the
point is, it is probably too late for any change of direction for this state, but other places that are not border states and have not had a huge population displaced by Mexican nationals, may still have a chance. I understand for
the past 5 consecutive years CA has had more citizens move out of the state than move to it, yet the population continues to increase each year. Wonder why?

Wells Fargo Sued for Discrimination

BALTIMORE, MD - The City of Baltimore is suing Wells Fargo Bank, alleging that the lender engaged in "irresponsible subprime lending practices" that specifically targeted and harmed Baltimore's African American and minority communities. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and will likely aim to recover millions of dollars the City claims it has lost in lost tax revenues, additional law enforcement, and court fees.
The City of Baltimore claims that California-based Wells Fargo engaged in illegal lending practices by knowingly targeting Baltimore's African American and minority communities for "bad loans with discriminatory and unfair terms", unfair and high cost pricing, unsuitable products, and deceptive and improper underwriting practices. The City also claims it was this intentional targeting that played a large part in creating Baltimore's high foreclosure rates in black neighborhoods which almost double the overall city average.
“Foreclosures caused by reverse redlining create a very real and very dramatic ripple effect in our neighborhoods,” said Mayor Sheila Dixon in a released statement. “By driving down the value of nearby homes, foreclosures also drive down City revenues and place additional financial burdens on the City and its residents. It is our responsibility to do what we can to stop it.”
In a statement, Wells Fargo said race does not play a factor in its pricing.
The unprecedented suit has enormous implications for the mortgage industry. Just days after the City of Baltimore filed its suit, the City of Cleveland announced a lawsuit against 21 of the nation's top lenders claiming that these lenders created a "public nuisance" by issuing bad loans which propagated the foreclosure crisis in their city.
