Even better, this is the same "DRUNK" who was found passed out in a downtown building known for prostitution. Yet the likes of his boss, State Senator Ron Calderon and "ONE BILL GIL" Cedillo, vouch for this guy, Follow the money.......

State Attorney General Jerry Brown has a novel idea. He wants to crack down on businesses who do not pay their employees at least the legal minimum wage. Leave it to old "GOV. MOONBEAM" to realize that this may be an issue ? G.A. Brown, here are some places that you may want to check out, Mac Arthur Park, Soto and Cesar Chavez, anyone selling peanuts, flowers, snow cones on street corners, anyone pushing a "PALETA CART". I'm sure the blogger sphere can add more locations. Then maybe partner up with ICE on enforcement.

Your favorite cities, Huntington Park Maywood and Bell Gardens are dropping the 30-day waiting period for illegals who get their cars towed. And dropping the impound fees. On the grounds that these illegals need to drive to carry on with their lives -- like aiming unlicensed, unensured deadly mega-ton machines at people who are dumb enough to either get and pay for their licenses and insurance, or just be caught dead on the street.
Everyone else's insurance is double in some areas of L A to subsidize these people who don't pay for their collisions. With no or fake licenses, you can't even find them.
So one bill Gil Cedillo found some takers.
He's also pushing for free universal health care for illegals paid for by US taxpayers, since "health needs have no borders."
Another strong argument to keep the illegals out in the first place.
This is not a "humane" issue like they claim, it's a financial one.
3/4 of public school kids are officially poor, which means they get free lunches. Many are illegals.
Hospitals and clinics are closing because they're stuck with almost $9 billion annually from uninsured. A good percentage illegal.
Set up a guest worker program, so they can come and go as needed, not with their whole families forever at our expense.
The federal government must help us financially and by crafting laws, but L A must cease being a sanctuary city and encouraging illegals to move here instead of being spread around the U. S.
Cedillo and Alarcon talk about "anti-illegal hysteria" blaming the legal residents and citizens, but they just don't get it. It's them flaunting the laws and sticking it to the working poor and middle class who are fueling a backlash.
I paid taxes, as a worker, homeowner, investor, etc for 50 years. I cant pay my bills anymore with, medical bills, increases in city and state taxes. The state wont give me any help but will give a 'new immagrant" who is over 62' over $2,00 a month in benefits. Lets send the illegals back and let anyone who has worked for more than 25 years and paid all taxes a chance to recover from being raped by the city of Los Angeles and the 'Mexican Mafia".

Robert Urteaga is an example of affirmative action as work. Lived in LA for so long, then "comes back" to some poor, Hispanic city where his mother happened to plot him out, and claim he deserves a seat on council because of that. He can't even put together a sentence, much less coherently run a campaign.

Those who made it out of East L.A. would inevitably end up here. Immmigration status is not the same as race. "Not injecting race into the issue" to try to be P C (wow, this blog must be taking heat from somewhere) doesn't mean someone can't or shouldn't point out that the people affected (and affecting the general public) by their lack of licenses and insurance are illegals.

My mom left the Valley and moved to Montebello after my grandparents became ill and she moved in with them to care for them. I love that little city and love brining my Valley Brats there to visit with their abuela and walk down Whittier Blvd. to get pan dulce and tamales. Oh, and Amy's Pastry Inc. (2208 W. Beverly) has the best cream puffs evar.
