Villar's Propoganda Arm (LA TIMES) Loses All Credibility Over Transparant Slam Against LAUSD Superitendent David Brewer

Pictured: Eli's LAUSD takeover Muppets

LA CITY HALL ALERT: LA TIMES pissed me off with this story about LAUSD and Superintendent David Brewer.

So look for ZD to be "going" where he hasn't gone yet, regarding LAUSD. (Sorry Steve Barr, you know I like you, but I'm gonna start hitting Villaraza and his LAUSD muppet school board pretty hard -- and we all know which muppet Monica Garcia is.)

SHAME ON YOU LA TIMES FOR LOSING ALL CREDIBILITY BY ATTACKING BREWER FOR YOUR CRIMINALLY BEHAVING MAYOR. Did he hire "Delliotte and Douche" over the failed payroll debacle? Did Brewer waste $5 million a month on credit card fraud? Was Brewer School Board President over the huge mess to be cleaned up, or was Jose Huizar?

HEY MONICA GARCIA...WHY DID YOU ELIMINATE THE AUDIT COMMITTEE? WAS IT TO KEEP THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OUT OF THE BOARD MEETINGS!?!? (That is the only committee the IG sits on)

Hey Eli...you think Villarmechaman can send illegal vending king Jose Huizar to call shots for "over her head/know nothing rookie" Monica Garcia to do your dirty Charter construction budget heist-work? NOT!

HEY MONICA...WHAT DO YOU HAVE AGAINST THE INSPECTOR GENERAL? HE IS THERE TO INVESTIGATE AGAINST FRAUD, WASTE AND ABUSE...BUT YOU LITERALLY BANNED HIM FROM MEETINGS OVER THE SUMMER...AND NOW YOU HAVE ELIMINATED THE AUDIT COMMITTEE HE SITS ON.

QUESTION: IF YOU ARE TRYING TO FIX THE SCHOOL SYSTEM...WHY WOULD SOMEONE WANT TO BAN THE PERSON WHO IS MAKING SURE THE SYSTEM ISN'T BEING ROBBED BLIND? But I can't figure out how they could have approved Pueblo De Semilla, either. Click here for Semilla Charter Story (And they want MORE charters...LOL!)

ANYWAY...watch Mayor Sam's blog for more on the problems with the new Villar-backed LAUSD school board. (I don't think some of this stuff is legal?)

p.s. What non-profit affordable housing board does LA Times editor sit on? Maybe that's why Antonio has LA Times by the balls.

The LAUSD Inspector General? The same one who's allowed contractors and subs to double-bill and pad payrolls on the bond-financed school construction projects for the last five years so that the voters are only getting 50-60% of what they paid for? That's the fox you want to keep overseeing the hen house?

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen (removes hat and bows low with flourish):

After spending a fine Saturday racing in a local regatta, Captain Roberts and his First Mate kindly gave me the opportunity to accompany them and several other pirates from Bonnet's crew to a rather well known watering hole in the Valley. The purpose? Once again, pirates had managed to convince a few Clowncil staffers to spend a pleasant evening at the local taverna for what they thought was the "inside scoop" on the Pirates, savvy?

Two sots (after having been liquored up fairly well) let slip several little gems that we shall repeat to you here upon this blog.

"Do you want to know WHY there is a growing movement for Valley secession? To get away from the TAXES that are going to be rammed down the throat of Angelenos. The Clowncil figures that those who live within the City limits will have no choice in the matter and they'll just pay them. But those who do NOT want to PAY these taxes would rather break away (and quickly too) so as to AVOID paying them!! This isn't something that the Councilman is prepared to deal with, not with having to deal with that L.A. Times op-ed piece by Lopez that's going to come out tomorrow..."

(Whispers) We told you that these two were liquored up quite nicely, didn't we? Here's what the other one had to say:

"Who isn't going to feel good about giving money to something like more police for gangs or more cops on the street? And when the money comes in, it's just going to go right into the general fund like all the other money has gone [sic] and it will get spent on things that have totally no relation to the original purpose of the tax in the first place."

"Even a crooked Latino politician is better than any other kind because that's the only kind of politician half the City has had experience with in their country of origin. Don't believe me? Ask mi 'buelo. He'll tell you stories about life in Oaxaca."

Both sots staggered off into the night swearing that the local paper of record mentioned here would never print anything like this because the union within said paper would not want to see their candidate(s) put in a poor light.

"Try getting this published and you'll get laughed at." (Pokes sot) So sorry, sirrah, but you have some chiste on your Christian LaCroix, savvy?

And of course kudos must be given to Roberts' First Mate who provided a lovely repast last evening when we met to discuss the goings on of the evening past. (Smiles and rubs tummy) For a woman who can't swim, she can certainly entice a pirate onto land with her cooking skills!

The Times likening Brewer to a tent- pole preacher is perfect: lots of fire and brimstone platitudes, little of substance so far. He could have asked for Laura Chick's help earlier, with the payroll system, for example. Absurd that the "savior" of that elephant has been here in L A all along, but afraid to come forward for fear of stepping on LAUSD's toes. That speaks volumes about the culture there that is finally changing. But I too want him to succeed: he's the public face of the LAUSD, qualified or not, and it's not good to keep changing supes.

I just went through my first grade daughter's backpack and found a memo on LAUSD letterhead from Sup. Brewer regarding a flyer out there suggesting teachers are not getting paid, resources are being diverted from classrooms, yada yada yada. It was also a very firmly worded assurance that the payroll "issue" was more or less going to be taken care of in time and for everyone to chill and just hang tight. He's on the Mofo.

I really hope so. I hate to see this district completely implode on itself, but as a parent of a student at a Valley 900+ API performing school, the rumblings on the playground are that we should probably try to be as "self-sufficient" as we can about our future funding(read: CHARTER), and I'm not so sure how I feel about that ... not since turning on to this blog. I'll admit I'm still a dum dum on the subject of Charters, but I'm trying to catch up.
