Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Monday
Full Disclosure has a report that makes a claim I find to be a bit of a stretch: that Mayor Villaraigosa's affair(s) led to an attack on individuals lured to a newsrack by LA Times coverage of the said scandals.
Walter Moore blogs that many of the "non-profit" organizations quoted in newspaper articles and media accounts are not as altruistic or charitable as their leaders would like you to believe. For example one non-profit noted is allegedly a shill for those seeking state favors to divert travel money for Governor Schwarzenegger without the disclosure requirements of donating to his campaign committees.
A real estate blogger details the impact rent control and mandatory relocation fees has on the owners of income property.
Some blogger named Mad Professah seems to think it was the Westside White Guy that broke the story about Mirthala and Fabian. Yea, right.
The San Fernando Valley Business Journal reports that prices for industrial property in the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County have flattened after having raised about 90% in the previous four years.
Facing a strong fight from union leaders and City Council members who want to tell them how to run their businesses, LAX area hotels plan to stand firm in their fight against hardball labor tactics.
