Laws Limit You, Not Career Politicians And Their Spouses
The L.A. Times reports that, besides her indifference to the Vehicle Code, the wife of our City Attorney apparently deemed herself exempt from the tax laws, business license requirement and our City's anti-business business tax.

Now this is just getting silly.
If it is not absolutely clear that this is a planned and coordinated attack on Rocky for some other purpose, then I don't know what is.
I bet 99% of the people downtown could have one thing a day dragged out about them - most likely far more serious. I expect to see a front-page story from the LAT that Rocky made an unsafe lane change last week. The horror!
Rocky screwed up on the car thing big time. That's for sure.
It just seems that there are other forces at work here.
The LAT(or a real paper) needs to dig deeper and report on WHO is leaking information and WHY they are doing it. Let's find out WHO benefits from the attacks and see what dirt there is there.
Bullshit! Rocky is a prosecutor, with huge power over the lives of people. He should be held to the highest standard.
You figure and word all over the city is this is a conspiracy against Rocky from Antonio/Fabian/Baca/Weiss. Take down a Latino politican. They would have to start a whole new paper if the LA Slimes reported on all the bullshit the spouses of electeds did illegally. KFI would not sit and allow Weiss to win as City Attorney. BACA is a crook and spent millions on a private plane and abused his power to give actors gun permits. Fabian is a hack and we all know the bullshit corruption Antonio has. Yet the media refuses to investigate or report that. The negative media coverage on Rocky is actually making people feel sorry for his wife and kids. She screwed up big time but for the media to be so obsessed and go over the top is ridiculous.
Something to think about- You know there MUST be others in the federal, state and local government who are using public property and funds to for impermissible personal benefit, but they just haven't be called on it yet.
That's probably why other politicians not making much about Delgadillo's situation.
If there were some better accountability to ensure proper use of public assets we might see some lower bills to run government.
Besides the actual cost to taxpayers in real dollars, the other revelation is the cultivation of an attitude of detachment from their fiduciary duty to the public, especially resistance to following simple concepts in law that should not have to be spelled out. You can see that lots of politicians get piggish when you look at the cars/SUVs they choose to drive at the taxpayer expense. "It's free and I'm so IMPORTANT now, so I'll get the most expensive one" seems to be the message.
That's only one example of the mentality of many elected and appointed officials (and staff), and we have lots of that in City Hall, from the top on down.

terI am now to the point where I feel for Mr. and Mrs. Rocktard. This is so blatantly an orchestrated "SPIN ASSUALT" for the likes of "MEAT", "PARKE-que", "ACE of villar" and their simplepants at the "LA ANTONIA TIMES".
Does one remember the Steve Lopez article during the 2005 Mayoral Election where members of the Boyle Heights Chamber of Commerce, took tony cillar to task for not cracking down on illegal street merchants ?

8:29 is right. Everyone does it. Just like Hahn and Pay to Play. It's still happening. It'll always be something. Look The City Attorney office is a position of trust and moral integrity .

"Holding Office illegally in the past" (perjury in his application). other charges stealing moneys from the City of Los Angeles (pay for the repairs of the SUV), Jury tampering in 2004, driving without insurance, cheated on taxes (California is a Community State). Convicted and guilty of 30 counts of Campaign Violation Finance Laws (fined $11,450). On and On, you can write a book on this bastard.
I can assure you that after this investigation he will be convicted of "MALFEASANCE" while holding a public office.
Ignorance, Inattention, or Malice is not and excuse for the felonies he had committed.
He must resign, for the protection of the office he was in charge off. Otherwise I as a citizen do not feel protected specially knowing that he is nothing but a criminal in this office of trust and respect.
