BREAKING NEWS!! Weekly's Zahniser now a "TIMES SCRIBE"
According to the L.A. Observed Web Site. Premier City Hall Reporter, David Zahniser has made "THE JUMP" from the L.A. Weekly to the "OLD GREY HAG ON SPRING STREET".
Some who are reading this, are aghast at the moment, wondering how the "Z-MAN" could leave the "WEEKLY OF RECORD" for the "LA ANTONIA TIMES". But maybe the ridicule that comes with being the P.R. Machine for the "POLITICO FORMERLY KNOWN AS ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA", tony villar, has prompted "JOURNALIST HILLER and O'SHEA" to take drastic action to inproved the bottom line in both the revenue and journalistic content department.
Here is hoping that Duke "LITTLE DOOKIE" Helfand is given another beat. Thus the Mayor is force to face the questions of Zahniser daily in the pages of the "LOS ZAHNISER TIMES".

What better way to shut up a snooping reporter than to place him under the scrutiny of Parke Skelton. It's happened before.
Any reporter for alternative newspapers out there wanting to get a leg up in their journalist careers, just expose the truth about Antonio. Who knows, you might end up the editor at the L.A. Times.
Say it isn't so JOE? I can't believe David Z would jump ship for the sleazy Times. Amazing how money talks. He was the only reporter not afraid to go after the truth. At the Slimes he'll never ever be able to do the same type of stories. We all thought David Z was different and had ethics. By taking the job at the Slimes who he has crucified himself many times he's acting no better then the corrupt politicans. Dumb ass move David.

This is something the Times should have done long ago. But, hopefully, they can still bring back some level of credibility to their coverage of the mayor and City Hall....

With Zahniser now a "TIMES SCRIBE". This is the way that the paper gets back at "villar" for all his transgressions. One should look at the photo that goes with the story at "WWG, OBSERVING WEST L.A. LIFE and his TIMES". NOT TO FRIENDLY.

It is not that he WAS the only reporter not afraid to go after the truth. There should be little doubt that he STILL WILL BE doing that at the Times...

About two months ago, Adriana Martinez, a Stanford educated staffer for Antonio Villaraigosa was abruptly fired. Adriana was raised in Boyle Heights and she was student body president at Roosevelt High, the school that Antonio dropped out of. You would think this is someone that Antonio would want ot keep on staff. But rumor has it that Adriana knew too much. She was a former classmate of Jennie Carreon and some say also the target of Antonio's advances.
Adriana is a planning commisioner in the City of Alhambra and the wife of Councilman Luis Ayala, who is a current Gloria Molina deputy. She just voted to give a development contract to a convicted felon who pleaded guilty to bribery. (http://www.sgvtribune.com/ci_6161543?source=most_emailed).
Adriana and Luis met while interning for Xavier Becerra in D.C.. What did Adriana know that got her fired? Or should we ask, who did she talk to that got her fired? Could it be that Adriana confided in Corina all the Antonio drama after she got fired? A little payback perhaps?
Doug McIntyre had Jeff Carr the new gang czar on and I have to tell you people he sounds like an idiot who doesn't have a clue about gangs in LA. OF course he's back in Washington. No qualifications, no experience yet he's going to get paid $100,000. Damn, this city is crazy. No wonder the cable channels and tons of blogs are making fun of our mayor and council idiots.

A "TELLING" comment by "COMRADE CARR" was how he dislike the term "CZAR". Why ? because of all the bad things the Czar did before Carr's "FELLOW TRAVELERS" create the "WORKER'S PARADISE" of the Soviet Union. Maybe what "CZAR CARR" has in mind is creating an "UNITED SOCIALIST COLLECTIVE OF GANGS". Now that we have a "GENERAL SECRETARY", err, "CZAR" of gang Intervention. NO way Jose would the LA Slimes ever allow David Z to continue to write and report the stories like he has for Weekly. David Z is as good as a reporter can get but never will Slimes allow him to write a negative hit piece on Antonio. Wonder if he'll be taking Patrick McGreevy's place since he's going to Sacramento next week. Poor Bitter Bernie must be crying. Why would David Z go to the Slimes but for major $$$$$. I never thought he was one to be bought.
Oh no...I was hoping they hired Z to let him do his thing to a wider audience, on a more than once a week basis...and although, of course things will have to be toned down, because Times is a mainstream outlet and Weekly is a self-proclaimed "alternative" outlet.
So, I was hoping the trade-off would be, at least you get SOME David Z (even if not the full-strength version) in order to reach a wider audience, more regularly.
But if you think this is a "spay and neuter" move...then you gotta be kidding me...
Maybe someday ZD will be President of the "Single Unit Homeowners For Smart Growth" Fan Club in that case.
We will soon find out if David Z was "bought" or if he can continue with his great investigating reporting. What stories will he cover? It would be great if he took Steve Hymon's place in city hall. Steve has gotten too soft on those morons and is too friendly with them during council meetings. Dying to read David's 1st story.
