LAUSD DISTRICT 7 RUNOFF, UPSET BREWING ??
Something is in the "POLITICAL AIR" down wind in LAUSD District 7. But you would never know this if you relied on the in-depth reporting of the Los Angeles Times. Neil Kleiner, retire principal has been fighting a dogged battle against Mayor Villaraigosa's chosen candiadte Dr. David Vladovic.
In the March Primary, despite a six-figure campaign fund, establishment endorsements, Vladovic was only able to garner 45% of the vote. Thus setting the table for today's runoff. Since then Kleiner has pick up the endorsements of Jesus Escandon, CTA activist who garner 22% of the March vote on a $3,000 budget. But in the recent weeks, prominent Africa-American activists and political leaders have join the Kleiner team. They include the Rev. Cecil "Chip" Murray and and Assemblyman Mervin Dymanly.
Concern about an pending upset cause the Mayor's team to send negative mailers to voters. This may cause a backlash on the Vladovic campaign that one activist described "as a campaign that is trying their best to lose this race". Further, opinion of the Vladovic effort, is one of disorganization.
Then there is the background of Dr. Vladovic himself, or "DR. DEATH" if you are in the Know. "DR. DEATH" is the moniker that Vladovic had bestowed on himself for his past of discarding teachers and administrators who did not meet his standards. According to people in the West Covina Educational Establishment. This includes having to put up with a man who was proned to fits of profane tirades and threatening behavior.
This leds me to a letter I received from Linda Finley, 37 year employee of LAUSD. A resident of San Pedro and a likely voter today. She tells a story of a man who was a a "CREATURE OF CRONYISM". Who used a $65,000 a year computer tech to maintain his personal tech needs. A man who would buy "STATE OF THE ART" computers. Then give them to his "FAVORITE PRINCIPALS". Her concerns about district funds and equipment not being use in the classroom cause health problems. Thus her retirement.
It is these stories from educators in LAUSD and West Covina that Dr. Vladovic is not the person to led reforms in LAUSD. For those who have read my prior posts on this race, I have stated that Kleiner is a person with the character and "FRONT LINE" experience to initiate reform and change without the "NECKLACE OF SPECIAL INTEREST" hanging around his neck.
In closing, remember to vote, and remember that LAUSD belongs to "YOU!!".

Why not just say Kleiner is going to win?
And then when you are wrong you'll have nothing to blame except for the fact that voters in LA want the mayor to have more power within the LAUSD.
Why aren't the LA reporters saying Antonio is out of town again off to Washington? How many times has that midget mayor been out of the city since elected?
Shallman has polling showing that Kleiner will win by 9%!!
Shallman should pay attention to the ass whooping he is getting in the 3rd -- and not freelance anymore.
Shallman had Flora beating Rosendahl by the same percentages.
it is the way he gets donations, which help pay his fees.
Personally, I will nrever, NEVER, donate to a candidate who has Shallman for a manager.
