Zuma Launches ZAP! (Zuma's Activist Program)

FOR IMMEDITATE RELEASE:
April 9, 2007

ZUMA DOGG LAUNCHES ZAP (Zuma's Activist Program)

MC Zuma Dogg, Public Advocate of the Community and Internationally Published author regarding Marketing Strategy, Market Research and Methods for Management of Quality and Productiivty, announces the launch of "ZAP" (Zuma's Activist Program).

ZAP will be "ZAPPING" yo shady azz, with my organized network of public activists from throughout the fifteen shady/corrupt districts. We will be specializing in representing people with lawsuits in the following areas:

* Licenced Vendors affected by Venice Beach Ordinance 42.15 (Class action lawsuit)

* Tenant's illegally displaced in condo-conversions IN VIOLATION OF VACANCY LAWS AND OTHER CHARTER VIOLATIONS. (Lack of proper notification, lack of proper relocation fee, conversion in violation of vacancy law, displaced tenants not offered affordable housing in the conversion process (because none was offered), civil rights violations (like Garshady cutting off ZD in violation of First Amendment protections).

* Parents with kids affected by LAUSD lack of methods for management of quality and productivity (student achievement and school system accountability).

* Anyone who voted for Bill Rosendoh or Eric Garshady: You deserve punative damages under the "False Claims Act".

* First Amendment violations against Council for cutting off speakers too early, in violation of State and Federal Law. (Not the first time, but WILL be the last.)

* LAX airport workers who's tips (income) have declined due to City Council President's demand for a boycott of LAX Hotels.

* People whose trash collection fees were raised to hire 1000 new cops, under false and fraudulant pretences.

ZAP (Zuma's Activist Program) is based on ZAP (Zuma's Alternative Plan) - which embodies Deming's 14 Point Checklist and will be applying it to City business, since they aren't.

AND EVERYTIME ZUMA DOGG RECEIVES AN EMAIL OR VOICE MAIL FROM SOMEONE AND HE POSTS IT, CONSIDER YOURSELF "ZAP'D", y'all. FOR EXAMPLE:

* DAVID HERNANDEZ: THANKS for today's email alert regarding Prop. R in Supreme Court, NOW WITH JUDICIAL WATCH FUNDING THE (NEARLY CERTAIN TO BE VICTORIOUS) CHALLENGE. (See today's Mayor Sam thread.)

* MATT DOWD: FOR THE VENICE BEACH VENDING BAN (ORDINANCE 42.15) UPDATE. (See today's Mayor Sam thread.) MAN, did that City Attorney's office bamboozle council on this one. Oh well, ZD promises to put back .01% of my settelment money BACK INTO THE CITY!

* NOEL WEISS: Who wrote the "9 & 17" legislation and who schooled The Big ZD on the condo-conversion bamboozle that has been steamrolling the City and steamrolling tenant's rights by steamrolling the Charter (improper notification, improper relocation money, ignoring vacancy rates and affordable housing requirements, ooops) -- AND FOR HIS WORK ON LAUSD SCHOOL REFORM (COMING NEXT), is ZAP's Eli Broad/Richard Riordan muppet master behind ZD. So I'll pass all the complicated legalese over to him for legislative review for further consideration by ZAP.

* BIG JOE, from the MEAN STREETS of EAST L.A. is the ZAP Chairman for East L.A./CD 14. So contact him, and he will contact the ZAP Board for further consideration of your legal or community matter.

* MAYOR SAM: I guess you are the Communications Director, whether you want to be, or not, y'all. Yeah, yeah!

* ZAP's BOARD OF SUPERVISORS (Whether they know it or not): Mayor Sam, Red Spot, Walter Moore, Joeseph Mailander, Antonio Watch, Noel Weiss, Matt Dowd, Cpt. Jack Sparrow, Manhattan Beach Mongrol, Rose Hill Review AND A BUNCH OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO I KNOW DON'T WANT ME TO MENTION THEIR NAME, But you know who you are, and so does everyone else, since you write my speeches for me!)

* ZAP is NOT affiliated with U-Suck (Unified Scholastically Underachieving Community Killers)

TO ADD YOUR NAME/ORGANIZATION/INFORMATION/SERVICES TO BECOME A ZAP RESOURCE (Since City Hall doesn't value it's biggest community resource -- the network of active-minded, action-oriented people -- also known as a "the community").

Call 310-928-7544 and leave a message or email zumadogg@netzero.com to join ZAP. And .01% of all donations made to ZAP will be donated to charity. The rest will go to ZAP operating expenses. And you SHOULD be able to write it off, we're PRACTICALLY a non-profit organization. How can I apply for some GRANT MONEY, Y'ALL. Then I can write you a report, I'll only charge $250,000 instead of the ususal $500,000 price the City usually pays. PLUS, ZAP's report will include actionable plans and a method of system accountability. DONATE NOW -- PAYPAL WORKERS STANDING BY.

AND NOW, ZUMA DOGG: Here's a "one-year anniversary" keynote speech from ZAP participant, Zuma Dogg, who specializes in Media Relations and Communications: (Watch Garshady issue a "second warning", after his first "warning" was only a polite request, since law was on my side. HEY GARSHADY!!! REQUEST DENIED!

(Listen to Mr. City Attorney say, "Mr. President, City Council COULDN'T make a finding that Zuma DOWD's dancing was disturbing and disruptive." (Huh, huh, huh...I admit, my dancing is a little disturbing, if you don't like hip-hop choreography, but it isn't disruptive AND it's protected expression under the constitution. But thanks for saying council COULDN'T make a finding.)

What a positive established group of leaders you have organized with little notice, great to know we have an abundance of officials now serving the needs of the citizens in the City of Los Angeles. I have worked over the years with many local groups such as the 'CLC'-'NC', offices of the Councilmembers in a couple of districts, the Mayors Office, the Senates Office, and now ZAP.

Please consider my valued input in this groups activities since I can note that it will have an impact on the residents in my community and the surrounding communities. (pretty much city wide) Zuma, I am not sure if you recall a close friend of mine that is serving on the Neighborhood Council, but he has asked me to include him as an activist supporting your program.

"He has been reading your comments on your website and here at Mayor Sam's, and he thinks it is great that your voice speaks for all that are not heard. Since he is a 'Rasta Man', he relates to what you have to say." (VictorJune@yahoo.com)

Please include this 'Dynamic Duo' in serving the residents of the 14th District as part of ZAP's core of united civilians working to improve societies never-ending need for productive 'Neighbors Helping Neighbors'.

Now there are two members in Rose Hills that will continue to fight for Truth, Justice, and the American Way. ONE LOVE.

If you attempt to "represent" anyone or any organization before any governmental agency of the City of Los Angeles, you are going to be in violation of the LA City Lobbying Ordinances and/or the State Bar of California, for practicing law without a license.

It is possible to register as a lobbyist, if you follow the correct procedures, but you need to pass the Bar Exam and be admitted to the California Bar to practice law in California.

They do regularly prosecute people like you who run afoul of the rules, so be warned.

Your "gifts" do not allow you to avoid the law; they will simply be viewed as a device to avoid registration and reporting.

3:42pm,

Thanks for the free legal advice. Consider yourself a member of "ZAP". Bro, I know you want ZD to succeed, so rest assured, I won't be representing anyone -- my attorney's will. That's how I was finally able to launch "ZAP". I have a team of attorney's who want to file a few lawsuits on behalf of ZD, then the bigger idea for a greater cause was unleashed, it's called ZAP!

I wonder if John Q. Public can find a council?

Your lawyers cannot share fees with you. You are going to get them in trouble with the Bar and yourself in trouble with IRS unless you get a 501(c) 3 designation.

You are playing with fire in areas about which you know nothing, and you are now trying to make a business out of it.

They will shut you down and take away your van for non-payment of taxes and yu will really be homeless.

Go get a job and quit messing around with stuff you don't understand. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. They aren't.

I've noticed there are always many comments about ZD being irrelevent. I've also noticed many (more?)attempts to squash his efforts. Interesting. Either ZD has a number of people looking out for his best interest or they are hell bent on maintaining the status quo.

The thing is, the status quo is not being changed; just a lot of ranting an raving going on two or three minutes at a time. Watch the body language; all they do is sigh and wait for the time to expire.

No one is paying any real attention to the issues raised; if anything, they are turned against them by the messenger.

Someone is going to find out that litigation is expensive; either the guys paying the bills, or the lawyers who are not getting paid.

Depositions have to be paid for with real money, filing fees, etc. all of this costs a bundle, and, if the suit is wrong, there are always the costs incurred on the other side that have to be paid by the losers.

Be careful, very careful what you wish for...

6:59pm,

Yep, irrelevant! That's EXACTLY how I feel! Status Quo hasn't change, huh? Brown Act now being adhered to, , Special Event Fees Absuse exposed, Prop H lost by 4%, First Amendment now being adhered to (more often), CONDO=CONVERSION/VACANCY RATE /AFFORDABLE HOUSING REQUIREMEMNTS/ELLIS ACT RELOCATION MONEY LAW BEING UPDATED, -- BRO- NO ONE IN THE CITY HAS SPENT MORE TIME SPEAKING OUT ON THESE TOPICS on radio, tv and blog...sorry you can't take it...

argue on a strength, not a weakness.

by the way bro, after a year of burning some serious rubber, and with the condo-conversion, ellis act payment increase, affordable housing and vacancy rates all being addressed by Council now, and election season over (except for LAUSD run-offs) and the Venice Beach Ordinace Injunction in proper motion -- I WOULD like to tone it down a bit for a while and enjoy some of this springtime weather i waited so long for. I'll still proably still be stopping by Coucil Chambers -- but HOPEFULLY not as much. (You gotta factor in all the endless hours on hold for AM talk radio time AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY AND NIGHT (Thank you Kevin James for making it worthwhile to call in at 2, 3, 4 in the morning -- to have SO many people tell me they hear me on your show!!!)

AND all the writing on mayor sam, and elsewhere -- and i would LOVE to come off the road for a bit.

BUT THE POINT IS -- PLEASE DON'T UNLEASH THE Z.D. AND MAKE HIM HAVE TO KEEP THE PR MACHINE IN THE RED ZONE JUST CAUSE YOU PISS ME OFF BY TRYING TO MINIMIZE COUNCIL'S RECENT GROWTH AND WILLINGNESS TO TAKE PUBLIC INPUT AND ACT ON IT THANKS TO PEOPLE LIKE NOEL WEISS AND OTHERS. So hopefully the ball is rolling, and some of the people who have been lazy, and simply "calling it in" to ZD, for him to say on radio and TV 35 can start making some phone calls and public comment apperances, theyselves.

I got a year's worth of footage for my documentary, and although I've never been big on milestones, anniversaries, and things like that, slowing down after one year, especially with the housing stuff from last week/this week, Venice -- and being able to have the opportunity/other outlets to amplify my message (documentary/LA Weekly writing/ZAP), I hope I can come off the field for a bit, and monitor the situation from ocean and mountain views, back in ZD's natural habitat. We'll see...So the main thing is, I'M BEGGING THE HATERS...Don't provoke me...Cause I really wanna take the WHOLE WEEK OFF! PLEASE?!?!? I'M BEGGING YOU.

Brown Act compliance? You are in a circle jerk, guy.

Those councilmember phones hum before the meetings and the aides talk to each other as well. That is a law that defies compliance.

You definitely should take the week off; the weather is beautiful and the kids are still out of school. Park the van up by Broadbeach Road and gaze at the ocean.

And, you know what? The beat will continue on. Whether you are there or are not, the same stuff will happen. The only difference will be that the meetings will be shorter by two minutes times the number of issues on which you would have "spoken". The definition here is hard, because that jiggy dance/song/chant defies description.

So, take a good time off and watch it on Channel 35 at night. Don't feel bad, it is democracy in action.

Welcome to Los Angeles!!

And I'm sorry to all the people who will make a little less shady money off the backs of the middle and lower class constituents of Los Angeles due to "9 & 17", vacancy, affordable housing, Prop H, special event fee waiver abuse, and all the other things ZD put down "on the record" on TV, radio & blog. But I'm trying to say, I don't wanna keep doing it SIMPLY to keep punishing these fools.

It DOES feel like time for spring break...but all it takes is that one little comment from a jealous, defeated crybaby, trying to minimize Council's effort to respond to public input -- and it gives me a craving for dim sums and bean cakes.
