Proposition R. back to LA Superior Court Wednesday. Start Updating Your Resumes Termed-Out Losers!

Proposition R. back to LA Superior Court Wednesday!

Prop. R, the intentionally decieving and duciplitous, shady as hell proposition which extended the term limits for Los Angeles City Council members is set to be heard by Judge Dzintra Janavs on April 11, 2007, 9:30 AM at the Stanley Mosk Court House, Dept 85 in Los Angeles.

Attorney Candice E. Jackson lead attorney for Petitioners David Hernandez and Ted Hayes is joined by a legal team from JUDICIAL WATCH, Y'ALL.

On March 20, 2007 Attorney Jackson filed The “Notice of Motion and Motion for Issuance of Writ of Mandate; Memorandum of Points and Authorities” on behalf of the Petitioners. The Petitioners argue the Proposition violates the California State Constitution as it combines more than one issue on a single Ballot Measure. Plus, it will allow shady community killing Councilmembers to stay in office longer.

The City of Los Angeles was required to file the response to the Points and Authorities and will be arguing their merits (or lack thereof) in front of Judge Janavs on April 11th.

The National Legal Advocacy Group Judicial Watch has joined with the Hernandez and Hayes TO PROVIDE THE FUNDING for a successful challenge. (Ooops. That was the only problem...money, not merit. Now they got the money. Buh-bye! CMs)

Six of the current Los Angeles City Council members will be immediately impacted by the challenge. (That's nine too few.) Once the Proposition is set aside, it will reduce their remaining time in office from almost six years to less than 2 years. (That's 2 years, too many.)

A press conference will be held in the lobby of the court room once the case is heard by Judge Janavs. (Helen Keller can see how this one is going down!)

HA! ZUMA DOGG IS LAUGHING AT YOU, DESPARATE TERMED-OUT POLITICIANS. ZD can't wait to tell you -- Hey, Go get a REAL job -- FOUR YEARS EARLIER!

The trouble is, most of these people aren't capable of landing real jobs.

And by the way, how am I supposed to respect someone who now enjoys a taxpayer provided salary only because his/her daddy was a popular political figure?

City Council is looking very scummy. Hopefully David will succeed in giving it a good scrub and flush!

I can think of one CM right off the bat (with the initials JH) who fits your profile and rightfully qualifies for your disrespect.

Go David & Ted (and Judicial Watch)!

Parks and Alarcon look like a couple of sleazebags with those horrible mustaches.

I propose an ordinance banning the wearing of facial hair by any councilmember. And yes, that include you too, Greuel.

I mentioned Prop R in my anniversary comments last Wednesday now up on YouTube.
City filed an answer to our First Amended Complaint, which means that the 12b6 dismissal action is over. The case is moving forward people, and we now await the issuance of the preliminary injunction, or , standby for some form of stipulated judgment and or suspension of the ordinance. (settlement).
Public notice- the case is moving.
The attorney likes the developments, and we look forward to returning some freedom to the expression at Venice Beach.

It's opening day at Dodger Stadium. Somebody should check how many members of the city council are there, where they're sitting and who's paying for the tickets.

I'm betting Judge Janavs invalidates Measure R.

Don't bet on it, Walter. The one issue rule may not apply to Cities as it does State propositions.

And, she may find the issues are linked, but I doubt that one.

I don't know David Hernandez from Adam, but I ALREADY trust him more than all 15 council members combined.

Hernandez should consider running for, I dunno, something. I'd vote for him blindly, based on this situation solely.

Bravo David, Ted and Judicial Watch. Thanks for standing up and speaking for ME!
