Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Monday
It was all well and good when Mayor Villaraigosa and the DWP proposed a plan to import green power to Los Angeles. Now, environmentalists however are slamming the move because the power lines necessary to transit the energy would have to be built through wildlife preserves and national forests. D'oh!Citywatch reports that with city budget cuts coming, Neighborhood Councils could be on the chopping block. Many of the councils have yet to spend their funds nor come up with spending priorities for them. Its the perfect environment for City Council members such as Greig Smith, Bernard Parks and Jack Weiss who are looking for any opportunity necessary to emasculate the local panels.
We scooped the blogs-LA-phere last week that KABC had dumped popular talk-show host Kevin James. Theories ranged from cost cutting to pressure from Mayor Villaraigosa, a frequent James target. The replacement program, America's Earliest Morning Show with Peter Tilden, begins Monday night but we noticed KABC's web banners hadn't got the news yet.
The Daily News is of the opinion that Mayor Villaraigosa is the lesser evil in his battle with the LAUSD.
The Bachelor has found yet another issue to get involved with. He's got that State Senate primary battle coming up next year and he needs to up his name ID to go against Fran Pavley for Zelda's seat.
Two pieces in local papers that show the folly of the City Council messing with the economics of housing in Los Angeles. First an editorial in the Daily News making the case to truly make housing affordable, increasing relocation fees is not the answer. Then in the Daily News, some developers are beginning to fight back against the City's onerous "inclusionary zoning" rules.

Huh..huh...huh...The Daily News is NOT of the opinion that Antonio is better than current LAUSD.
ACCORDING to officials at the LAUSD, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's school-takeover plan isn't just misbegotten or ill-considered, it's "dangerous."
They printed on sentence at the end from some mayoral payrolled, kool-aid drinker. So that's fine...they presented both sides. COMMON MAN...IS THE MAYOR SENDING YOU PAYPAL DONATIONS, Y'ALL...
And to those kool-aid drinkers who say, we need reform so vote antonio's inexperienced puppet...
WE JUST PUT BREWER ON THE JOB OF SCHOOL REFORM. DAMN PEOPLE!!! WHO WOULD YOU RATHER PUT YOUR FUTURE IN THE HANDS OF?
Alright crybabies, you want reform...great. We got Brewer and unfortunatley any rational student of statistical analysis will tell you we have to give him more than a soundbite length of a chance, before we slam on the brakes and hand the keys over to Antonio.

I've given up reading his drivel because of the overlong rants, the jiggy BS talk and the total inattention to spelling and grammar.
Please restore some order to this blog or I'm going South and looking for other blogss, and, I suspect many other of your posters have/will do the same.

Interesting read on "HIS POLLONESS" Green Path. Does anyone notice that when a controversy erupts. Our mayor who loves sound bites and photo ops is no where to be found, thus the moniker "POLLORAIGOSA".

None of these element, however noble or righteous, are entirely independent of the matter of being qualified for the job.
Like most politicians, in the end, being connected helps to get the job much more so than simply having qualifications, so your pick is still in the running.
Whoa. Correction: Should be showing there that the stated elements ARE entirely independent.... And by the way, what would change if one were an "Uncommitted" mother?
