Noel Weiss dropped Zuma Dogg off at Starbuck's (Studio City) and he bumped into Chuck Tennin who had the chance to tell me THIS story/CITIZEN'S ALERT, Y'ALL!!! (Thanks, Chuck!)
There is a "tract map" hearing May 1, 2007 over West Magnolia Blvd in Valley Village. Only problem, CM Wendy Greuel filed a motion on March 16, 2007 calling for a cumulative assesment of the Magnolia, "because it is a hazardous street...". So I hope the tract map approval is continued pending results of Wendy's motion. Noel Weiss, Chuck Tennin and Zuma Dogg will be showing up to put it ALL ON THE RECORD.
Los Angeles City Councildemon Wendy Greuel, karma was sure working against you today. Zuma Dogg called Noel Weiss to aks him for a ride to Alarcon's Education and Neighborhood Special Committee Meeting at Van Nuys City Hall this evening.
After the meeting, Noel had someone to meet, so he dropped me off at Starbucks in Studio City. As I'm walking up the steps...why look who it is...Public Comment Superstar, and Herb Wesson's fishing buddy...CHUCK TENNIN!!!
You may have heard the mayor comment on ABC 7 that he, "plans on signing" (Noel Weiss') "9 & 17" tenant relocation fee increase when it hits his desk, which it was supposed to hit, TODAY! Well Chuck Tennin was part of the "Public Comment" posse who fought hard to put the City "on-the-record" regarding condo-conversion and demolishion problems throughout the City. AND WENDY...IN A SIMPLE CASE OF BAD TIMING...ZD GOT AN EARFUL REGARDING A CERTAIN TRACT MAP HEARING COMING UP MAY 1, 2007 in Van Nuys City Hall for a hearing over Magnolia Blvd in Valley Village. (AKA: THE NEXT LINCOLN PLACE)
You may have heard us talking about the problems in VALLEY VILLAGE over the WEST MAGNOLIA CONDO CONVERSION/DEMOLITION/LAND SPECULATION/WHATEVER THE SCUMBAG DEVELOPER DECIDES TO DO, WHENEVER HE DECIDES TO DO IT. (After all, Wendy's family is a big financial supporter of area developers, and the developer himself bragged to Chuck and Noel, "Wendy has 100% supported this project from the beginning."
EXCUSE ME? HOW COULD YOU HAVE SUPPORTED IT BEFORE YOU HAD NC INPUT AND SEEN THE IMPACT STUDIES? Which brings me to the point. On March 16, 2007 CM Greuel filed a motion calling for the transportation department "Cumulative Assessment" of Magnolia Blvd. -- from Colfax to Laurel Canyon.
WHY? Because Wendy said it is a hazardous street because of the traffic and other pending development projects.
However, there is a "tract map" apporval hearing at Van Nuys City Hall on May 1, 2007, that Weiss (Noel, not Jackass), Tennin, and Dogg will be attending to make sure the tract map approval is put on hold until the RESULTS OF GREUEL'S OWN MOTION (The Transportation Dept's "Cumulative Assement" of Magnolia Blvd in Valley Village. The apartment complex you are tearing down to leave vacant, until the developer either sell the land, builds new condos, that ZD would NOT be surprised if he turn into rentals, anyway, at the end of the day. So in other words, kick out the current renters. Demolish the building. Pretend like you wanna build condos (unless it's more profitable to just outright sell the land) -- then just say, "Oh shucks! Couldn't sell em, I'll just rent them for $1700 a month. (Which is slightly more than his current price.) And to those who say, "Owners should be able to get fair market prices. FINE! Then repeal rent control. But circumventing it through shady tactics destroys lives. ESPECIALLY SINCE THIS DEMOLISION IS IN VIOLATION OF VACANCY RATES....WE'LL BE PUTTING YOU ON RECORD, CITY OF LOS ANGELES, MAY 1, 2007 at Van Nuys City Hall. See you then.
