Saturday Shout Out to Melrose Larry
Los Angeles area master CPA and tax expert Mark Neuman was visiting the donut shop at Farmers' Market Saturday morning and ran into none other than Melrose Larry Green.
Mark was nice enough to give Mayor Sam a call and put Melrose on the phone. Though I've received a few voice mail messages from Melrose Larry via Mark in the past, this was the first opportunity I've had to chat with him live on the phone.
Melrose Larry is a Los Angeles institution and has been doing public comment at Los Angeles City Hall probably since back when Zuma Dogg was still a grade schooler.
Melrose has had some run-ins with Zuma Dogg as seen in the video below; however Zuma tells us that as of late the two "are good."
Hoody hoo Melrose!

Yes,
I'm glad to say, that my number one opponent, Melrose Larry Green and Zuma Dogg are now on the same side of the rope.
And I admire Melrose, because although he couldn't have had worse things to say about ZD the first several months (at least he was man enough to oppose me face-to-face, as opposed to an annonymous pussy) -- last time I bumped into him at Van Nuys (it had been several months since we had seen each other face to face), he approached me and I am happy to say, he has really noticed the change in ZD since the New Year, and laid on some pretty heavy accolaids to everyone within earshot, as Melrose will do -- whether it's good, or bad.
So I'm thrilled ZD has toned down enough, that a few more folks can be comfortable enough to hear my message, which is comprised of so many other people's time and knowlege who work with me on this stuff, to provide it the public. (And to go on record before Council for future actions.)
And for me to embrace Larry, and be happy that he kissed ZD's ass in public for once, instead of blasting me in public doesn't make me a sell-out.
It makes me say, "Cool, the guy isn't gonna hold a grudge for no reason, and he was sharp enough to catch onto what I am saying, now that I have allowed him to take in my message."
And as a former Howard Stern listener, Melrose is a legend, himself. And he truly IS the original Zuma Dogg, in his own right. He's known on a national basis about 98% more than Zuma Dogg. So I'm GLAD the two of us can hook up and do things together. Cause to a lot of people out there, a Melrose Larry event (like his Chuck Berry concert, or whatever else he is doing) with a Zuma Dogg appearance as well, would TRULY be a GREAT DAY, for the City of Los Aneles.

Hector Carreon is the publisher of La Voz de Aztlan. This paranoid La Raza Anti-Semite blames all of L.A.'s troubles on the Jews and labels any and all who do not share his views, as racists and labels Hispanics who don't share his views as "Malinchistas" (Mexican slang for "traitor").
So racist is Hector Carreon, that even La Raza organizations like MALDEF and LULAC, who are thought by many to be themselves racists, repudiate La Voz de Aztlan.

He is a Chicano separatist who calls California "Alta California." He admires leaders like Yassar Arafat and Fidel Castro. He considers Israel's defense against terrorism as immoral, and Hamas' suicide bombings that target Israeli civilians, as noble. Zuma Dogg is the singular star of TV 35, and that's why they hate him.
Friday March 23, 2007
Zuma Dogg said:
I did not hear that myself, but if he said that...HEEEEELLLLLLLYEAAAAAAAAAAH!
Doug knows I listen to him when I'm stuck in gridlock traffic, because we keep building too much high density condo-conversions in violation of Charter law as it relates to vacancy rates -- on my way to City Hall Council meetings.
So between going to sleep listening to Kevin James, and waking up to Doug, Rob (and sometimes John P.) I'm constantly in a bad mood and ready to go for public comment.
Doug McIntyre, the official pilot light, under the butt of Zuma Dogg. Weekdays, 5am-8:54am on 790 KABC. Right after THE GREAT KEVIN JAMES, of Red Eye Radio (1a-5a).
And KEVIN, my man...I SWEAR TO GOD, I was at the medical co-op today in Venice, and when the pharmacist said, "Alright, see you later Zuma Dogg", a kid who must have been 21/22 years old turns and says, "YOU'RE Zuma Dogg!?!?"
And I said, "Why, have you heard of him?" And he says, "Yeah, I hear him on the radio at night."
So I say, "Really? You listen to AM Talkradio?"
And he says, "My grandma listens to it all night, and I always hear you in the background at 2, 3 in the morning. And I said, "Oh you mean, 'Kevin James, Red Eye Radio?'" And he laughed, cause that was it!!!
Kevin James and Zuma Dogg -- bridging the generation gap within families, while getting OUR 2 cents in, vs the political spin machine.
Doug McIntyre and Zuma Dogg -- ruining the mornings of more shady politicans than McDonalds sells McMuffins! (on the realest...dough.)
ALSO ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY THANKS TO:
LA Weekly -- for allowing ZD to expose the fraud, waste and abuse running rampant through the City.
Daily News: Publishing Zuma Dogg's relevant and innovative comments regarding LAUSD school reform yesterday.
Mark "Mr. K" Germain, of K-TALK AM 1150, on the one-year anniversary to the day, of the unconstitution ban of ZD tshirt sales and Matt Dowd incense of Venice Beach boardwalk. (ZD started calling Mr. K, a year ago exactly, to start "Aksing" him questions, since it was called "Aks Mr. KABC" and I had some constiutional questions...he was helpful, then I called back for a follow-up...
...Then it all blew up, ended up on Hannity, O'Reilly, Drudge, McIntyre, Kevin James, John & Ken (mention me occasionally, along with Mayor Sam), Larry Elder, Leo Terrel and many others, many times this past year.
MAYOR ANTONIO: For taking a moment to chit-chat with Zuma Dogg about his efforts, in front of all the cameras, last week.
VH1: Already filmed Big ZD for the WHITESTARR reality show, to air this fall. (My segment may, or may not make it in -- no promises, no expectations, but it was fun to shoot, no doubt.) And I was invited back by the band to host the big blow-out concert tonight at Malibu Inn -- stop by for all the triumphantness and celebritydom, where ZD is only one of many.
AND of course, the LA Times and Daily News articles on ZD vs City Hall, LA City Beat, KCET/PBS special centered around ZD vs City Hall on Venice, all the blogs who continue to cover ZD (and I always get excited every time I see that).
AND THANKS TO CITY HALL: For being the best comedy improv stage in America, sad to say. (A never ending supply of comedic fodder. Just walk in the door, and say, "Hooooody hoooooo!"
And if a certain former faux-Councilmember blogger wants to dispute anything covered in this post, please make sure you offer me a polygraph test, because the comments presented in this post are 100% true and factual and presented in the spirit and letter in which they were intended.

Melrose and Zuma have accomplished the same by their comments. Nothing.
Zuma Dogg said:
Actually, one thing I'm very proud that my comments accomplished is the city's planning department now enforcing the city's vacancy rate regarding condo-conversions, and actually rejecting plans now, per City Attorney's request.
And it was brought to my attention, that's because ZD, Noel Weiss and Chuck Tennen "put it on the record", so it opens the city up for future lawsuits.
Some have said Prop. H (affordable housing bamboozle) that lost by the 4% margin of error, may have squeeked by if ZD hadn't called KABC twice a day and appear on TV 35 for three months.
(Thanks Joeseph Mailander for pointing it out to me. I hadn't caught it, till he mentioned it here in the Mayor Sam comment section.)
And I'm working on my LA Weekly article and just found a goldmine of info...but also add all the awareness that has been raised Citywide...turn on the radio...all you hear about (from a local standpoint) is City Hall bamboozle talk regarding Antonio and City Council. All the stories that were reported on first, here on Mayor Sam, to thankfully be picked up by other major news and radio outlets days, weeks or months later.
The first day I walked into CIty Hall April 4th (and I say it in the embedded video on this thread) that the Venice Beach ban on vending was about gentrification to make way for luxury condos.
BACK THEN, ROSENDOH'S OFFICE DENIED IT. But the $1.5 million dollar condos started popping up late summer, early fall (five months later). AND YOU CAN'T TELL ME THEY WERE PLANNED AND APPROVED THAT QUICKLY YOU LYING SUNSA BITCHES.
So I am proud that my instincts served me perfectly.
And I'm proud Kevin James, Mark "Mr. K" Germain, John & Ken and other talkradio hosts have commented on the air, to listeners that Big ZD has broken stories in this town, before other major media outlets, and they wonder how I do it.
EASY -- I'VE SAID IT TIME AND TIME AGAIN. PUBLIC INPUT, Y'ALL...Villaraigosa hates it so much he installs thugs at the door to screen out opposition. But if you DO, sneak through and ask an actual question, not on the script, he will grab Fabian and run out of the room, like a mommy will grab her baby, and run out of the room when a fire breaks out.
And City Council...we all know how much THEY like public input. About as much as Villaraigosa liked Garcetti's public input on LAX hotel boycott.
So to all the talk show hosts who have wondered who my sources are. They start with the people who show up at City Hall that Council ignores. Then they approach Zuma Dogg to see if he'll listen. And, he does. Then, he follows up with his network of staffers and pirates from across the sinking region.
If you would like to know how to reverse this tide, I have posted an article I call, "Interpreting Deming's 14 Points" that LUCKILY provides the blueprint the City is looking for, in which to plan, build and prosper in this new global economic era.
Blaze it up and check it out at www.zumadogg.blogspot.com.

Is Melrose Larry listening to Stern on satellite radio?
Just curious.
Zuma Dogg said:
9:51pm,
Melrose, if you are reading this, someone wants to know if you are listening to Stern on Sirius?
As someone who used to listen to Howard, during the years Melrose was a regular, I told him I liked all the clips he would call in and play, and loved how he would annoy howard...(he was to stern, what zd is to council, i guess you could say).
But, we haven't discussed how much we listen, these days, or anything. I don't think he's on the show anymore.

I met Larry 17 years ago, we were both doing stand-up comedy.
This was even before he would stand on the corner all day holding signs for Howard Stern.
I have to say he was funnier before he went on his meds.
