Hertzberg for City Attorney

Zuma Dogg reports on current 5th District Clowncilman, (a past winner of the Sister City Ass Clown Award) , none other than Jack "Wacko Jacko" Weiss's and his desire to run for City Attorney in 2009.

I agree with Zuma and apparently at least Herb Wesson and Dennis Zine this would be a disaster. Hey when your Clowncilman is not warm and cuddly that big burly Zine is lovable by comparison - so much so that groups in the 5th District prefer the 3rd District member to show up to their events over Weiss.

Fans of Doug McIntyre's radio program may remember the spirited exchange between the host and Weiss over the dog food settlement, an exchange that led this old, dead Republican Mayor to view Weiss as probably off his rocker.

Therefore we need an alternative to Weiss, a good one and we need one soon before Weiss piles up too much in money and endorsements.

Bob Hertzberg - we're calling on you to run for City Attorney.

The former California Assembly Speaker is an attorney so that helps, but more importantly he understands how government works at every level and always has a good ideas.

Plus he's just a big, fun goofy guy.

If you agree, you can sign our petition to urge Bobzilla to run for the post.

I can't wait to see his TV commercials!

I thought this person covered it pretty well. Villaraigosa not only endorsed Weiss, but is chairing his campaign. Riordan too. All for an office Jimmy Hahn held when Tom Bradley was mayor. For a guy who wanted to be mayor himself, losing for city attorney would be about as low as Hertzberg could go.

It's campaign matching funds. This is how politicians make money when they're out of work.

Zuma Dogg for City Controller.

As the city's chief watchdog and process improvement officer, this is an excellent place for ZD to implement Dr. Deming's principles. Then he can follow Walter Moore as mayor.

Hertzberg will win against Weiss Ass. All anyone has to do is ask what the hell as Weiss Ass done except cater to developers in his distrcit. The fact that Antonio is his campaign chair is enough for people NOT to vote for him. Weiss Ass is a complete moron and idiot. Has no brains, no leadership, no guts and is the biggest Antonio kiss ass. Doesn't he know Antonio has lost a lot of the support he had when first elected?

This is how pathetic bob is. In addition to his completely ineffective work as a lawyer at jeffer, he could not even friggin show as a candidate against hand job hahn and tommy gun tony.

If bob ran against weiss, and by the way, weiss is the cruz bustamante of local politics, weiss got fined more the your buddy moore will ever make in a yar, bob could run any ad and everyone would vote against him. bob could not even get andrei cherny in to succeed him. bob could run an MTA bus on all the hot air on him.

Why don't you get someone like edith ramirez to run against weiss - weiss is a friggin joke - always on his cell raising money or mongering (prolly) and ethics fines up the wazoo.

as for moore, his anti-semitism will ruin it for him.

Jack Weiss has the charisma of Adam Schiff.

Which is to say, Weiss is somewhere between Al Gore and a rusty mattress, on the personability meter.

Even worse, Weiss has made a career lately of doing Antonio's bidding.

Dumb move. If Weiss were to win, he'll need the intelligentsia demographic.

Those folks respect independent thinking. You are not independent if you hand Antonio your voting card.

Moreover, Antonio is slowly being exposed as an empty suit, even to the Westside limousine set, who, in a very outdated display of liberal guilt, voted for a Mexican-American to show themselves how liberal they are.

But Antonio cannot keep up the facade. When a good reporter, e.g., Dave Bryant, actually asks him a tough, unscripted question live, Antonio invariably screws up his answer, and majorly. Those who saw Antonio on the 8 pm news Tuesday, know what I am talking about.

But I digress. Jack Weiss is an arrogant prick. And that shows. In mail; on television; and most of all, simply by word of mouth and reputation.

I doubt he'll win.

Bobzilla has spent the last couple years working on renewable energy. He's been making a ton of dough, and plotting his next run.

Now if only he would surround himself with intelligent strategists, he might not have another, "close, but no cigar."

You think Hahn was an acceptable City Attorney? You think Rockhead is an acceptable City Attorney?

Weiss gives Princeton and the legal profession a bad name. But this being L.A., we may very well suffer with him as City Attorney.

speaking of mayors: The International Association of Fire Fighters union said it wants its 260,000 U.S. members to know the ``real story'' of the former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani.

I have broached the subject of that 9-11 conspiracy theory here on the blog, but the last couple of paragraphs of this article seem to confirm the existence of 'gold' under those twin towers. a lot of gold.
the big question is : was it there when the buildings came down?
some evidence suggests it had been removed already.

oh, and you know you're getting somewhere in politics when the personal attacks get as juicy as this FEB 21 anonymous post on Mayor Sam:

"Matt give it up you fucking loser. Damn when will you get a job. You are so wrong idiot. Do I have to educate your sorry ass again? LA hasn't been hit by terrorists cause LAPD has the best officers trained to watch all the cells here in LA. I know you read the Daily Journal piece I posted. Oh and apparently you don't know shit and are not from LA but why do you think Gascon is Chief of a little town in Arizona? Let's see if you can figure that one out loser. No wonder why no woman will go near you and your dick is as small as a eraser on a pencil. "

tsk tsk, methinks you need to research a little more, pal, especially the last two remarks.

Huggie almost got into a run off during mayoral campaign. There's so much dislike for Weiss Ass because he's not a people person, is condensending to anyone he talks to and says the dumbest things in council no way he'll win. He thinks by having Antonio support him he'll get the Latino vote. Think again Weiss Ass a lot of Latinos in LA don't support Antonio anymore cause he's an empty suit who likes being in front of the camera. What has he done in two years???? Plant trees that cost us $101.00 each

Take a look at Hertzberger's ties to the Economic Alliance, VEDC, VICA and that network of folks who would like to give the entire Valley to the developers. Beware!
