Ba-da-Bing!

Huizar talks to the fishwrap of record and calls his race against Alvin Parra "a distraction."

From what?

~~~
The City Clerk points out that some dum-dums are counting wrong, as not everybody in the City had a vote for City Council. Turnout, the Clerk says, was about 15%.
~~~

Tony Ricasa, who had been rumored to be leaving after the election, is now in Huizar's El Sereno office. Did anyone see him at the victory party?

~~~
Is anyone else sick of School Board elections being gamed by Mayor and Teacher's Union? How do actual issues that affect education get a chance to surface in that kind of climate? You have to feel sorry for a City that reduces its children's future to a futile and fruitless parlor game over District control.
Ok am I the only one who noticed that Antonio has one left eyebrow really thin like it was plucked and the right one is really thick. It looked weird last night when he was speaking to the media. I couldn't help looking at how horrible and uneven his eyebrows are.
Bob Sipchen's column this week is all about LAUSD elections being bankrolled by deep pockets. The column and some folks responding to it are found at http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/schoolme/2007/03/no_big_bucks_no.html#more
I don't know how they came up with 15%. Sure, everyone's City Council Member was not up for grabs, but everyone in the City was eligible to vote on Measure L and Measure M.
Where can we read their claim that turnout was 15%?
That .15% to you, Councilman Yawn.
Tony Ricaza hasn't been seen in the community for many months, probably as far back as to when he got the boot as head honcho in Huizar's team.
Isn't he still on payroll? Hmmmm....
Maybe that lack of votes could be attributed to the fact that the Registrar and even the LA Times thinks there were no write-in candidates. I voted for a write-in candidate who ran against Wendy Greuel. My vote not only was not counted, but I am told there was no write-in candidate - although he was so registered? Corruption, inefficiency or both? This city sucks!
anonymous who voted against Wendy Greul.. Did you do any research into the claims your candidate put in his biography. Anyone who is blatantly not being truthfull about his accomplishments(or lack of) isn't really a good choice to represent a community.
Want "reform” in Los Angeles?
The crazy Los Angeles School Board elections is another reason to go Green.
See my commentary posted on:
California Greening
P.S.: And lose the tiresome right-wing Republican "Angry White Man" shtick.
