Convoy... I Mean ROAD-Train

Special to the Sister City
Imagine driving to Vegas passing car after car in your new hydrogen-powered Corvette,
coming up to a trailer truck , so you put your left signal on and look back in your side mirror and start your pass, then finding out there are 5 trailers and the truck cab you must pass safely.
That's the Outback of Australia where long desert roads across desolate countryside are the rule. It is common to have 3 plus trailers zooming down a highway. There are no freeways just single lane roads crisscrossing the Continent. Of course safety is upmost to the drivers, being the RAIL-TRAIN itself or those coming up to one of these convoys.
Kingsley Foreman says the truck drivers must control these beasts and others have to realize this. They are from 150 feet long with 3 trailers and 250 feet long with 5 trailers. He says, about confronting one of these 'trains',
" If you are at all nervous about the situation, pull over, make a cup of tea and proceed when the road is clear." and lastly proclaiming ..." Keep an eye open for the super Road-Train it has 7 trailers ."
That's 350 feet long, WOW I can hardly wait for that Rush Hour drive one the 101.
