Do not pass Go

The EAA's Robert Aquino promised on August 21 that "Los Angeles is not going to be a fun place to drive" if the EAA didn't get its way.

And two City employees are alleged of making sure of that.

Gabriel Murillo, 37, and Kartik Patel, 34, allegedly rigged computers to disconnect signal lights at Sky Way at World Way at Los Angeles International Airport, Coldwater Canyon at Riverside Drive in Studio City, Glendale Boulevard at Berkeley Avenue in Echo Park and 1st at Alameda Streets in Little Tokyo.

The enterprising duo will be arraigned to the tune of felony charges and a five-figure bail on Monday.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen (checks compass heading and looks at horizon):

Enterprising indeed, those two sots. Lucky are they that the wind has been stiff these last hours, and the blame can ostensibly fall upon the Light And Power Company.

But is that all that is rigged? Some other chap remarked the elections are rigged. Is there anything else that can and might be rigged? And are there rats in the rigging? Methinks there are. Already the little beasties scurry about and try outwit the trap. Let us see if they can outwit the tempest in the teapot set loose today in a certain backyard.

Speaking of tempest, it's well formed and turning about with a great velocity. Lord Chapman was wise to slip past us in the night and head for the open sea, savvy? Look quickly and you shall see the Black Pearl round the point in El Sereno. We leave two behind for now to poke the tempest and turn it towards that which it seeks and those who aid them. Sots, when you see those two pirates make good their exit God have mercy upon you.

Mr. Dogg, it is time to take your seat in the bosun's chair. (Hands Mr. Dogg a bottle of pink bismuth). Here, take this. It will become a valuable commodity in the next two weeks, savvy?

huh...huh...huh...there he goes again with all that shakespear stuff that ZD can't understand. Why do i need to take pink bismuth. I'm just trying to pursue a vending career on Venice Beach after the mayor and city council sold me a lifetime vendors permit. (Why couldn't you just say pepto bismol, y'all?)

Arnold placed Antonio right next to the handsome, charismatic Mayor Newsome of San Francisco at inauguration. Antonio thought he would be more highlighted.

LAUSD teachers are going to walk out and now this.
Schools takeover to get expedited hearing.....The law giving Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa partial authority over Los Angeles schools will get an expedited hearing before the 2nd District Court of Appeal...The law was to have taken effect Monday, but a Superior Court judge last month ruled it unconstitutional and in violation of the Los Angeles City Charter.

The appeals court action means that the case can be resolved sooner, but it will almost certainly end up in the state Supreme Court. The mayor's office is likely to ask the high court to take the case directly — and skip the court of appeal.

Good afternoon Zuma lad (hands several volumes of Cliff's Notes to Zuma Dogg):

Ah, the Merchant of Venice are you? Very clever for a young man in a silly hat, as you like it. Have you ever tamed a shrew? Had a midsummer's night dream?

If there is one play by Master Shakespeare that the crew and I like to ruminate about, it's MacBeth. There is a very close parallel between MacBeth and to-day politics, savvy? The pursuit of something that does not rightfully belong to the pursuer, the hiding of stain of something that one does not want the world to see.

There is a reason that within the chambers of the Clowncil there are private privys. How many times has Villabarbosa stood above the sink and wished that the damn spot would be gone? I can just imagine him muttering "Out, damn spot!" And who are the three witches? Romero, Garcia and Sarno.

Yes, MacBeth is a must-read tome for you, Zuma lad. If you are confused, find someone to tell you the tale, rent the movie or read the Cliff Notes in the local bookshoppe.

As for the pink bismuth, my advice is NOT to take it but have it on hand in case you enemy needs some mercy.
