Teacher's not in class today, so your comments may make it up quicker than usual.I could tell you how agonizingly slanted another mayoral PR piece in today's fishwrap is, but this happens on such a regular basis now I think it's no longer noteworthy. Suffice it to say they do more shovelling than all the stable boys in all the horse stalls in America.

My absence is excusable, I have been in meetings and conducting business. I will say that in reviewing the election results, we are now chained to an oar on the ship of the damned. And we have nobody but ourselves to blame, savvy?
Congratulations to the winners, and all of them must be very happy knowing that they and their staff are safe and secure for now. However sooner or later people will wake up and realize that they have indeed been snookered. At least Dick Mountjoy didn't prevail.

first subject - homeless on skid row: I do NOT see the influx ending soon, so before we construct 'affordable' housing and line more pockets with gold, this city needs to construct an area or develop land somewhere to be a permanent 'skid row' of sorts, otherwise people will ALWAYS be camped on those city blocks forever. no amount of prop H's will actually stop the process which is creating these people.
this IS urgent, otherwise downtown Los Angeles will forever be tainted as a viable clean prospective investment for anyone.

What would it accomplish except create a self governed colony of the damned? Who's going to pay for all of the services that already exist on skid row to move to this new homeless utopia?
