Villaraigosa Buying Blog Ads

Further evidence that the internet is changing how politics is conducted, and information is conveyed: Mayor Villaraigosa, through his very well financed political organization, actually purchased an ad on LAVoice.org for his LAUSD takeover bid. The picture comes from that ad.

unlike most of your posts walter, this one is actually an original news item.

As oppose to your opinion on an existing news story.

no one has reported on the blog ads, which means the mayor takes us bloggers seriously.

kudos to him.

fyi -- i've seen the ads on rtummble.com
laobserved.com
roundup.com

go antonio!

The problem is: It doesn't matter how many ads you buy on the internet, if you doing un-ethical things. You should save your monet for regular T.V., and reach all those "Wheel of Fourtune" and "Access Hollywood" watchers.

Cause they ain't paying attention like the people reading this stuff on the net. To be honest, to think you can buy an ad on an internet site, that alrady has covered Zuma Dogg for free, with just some slick picture and corny-ass slogan (without commenting on issues in the as space), makes me want to tell people so many other things...tune into TV 35 on friday & sund. www.zumadogg.com fr all videos.

Zuma Dogg, why weren't you at City Council yesterday for the vote about council file numbers that turned into a slam on neighborhood councils for being unethical? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. You need to join Grassroots Venice Neighborhood Council. Maybe not so grass roots anymore, but this is your kind of issue. Ethics and/or lack thereof.

I thought Zuma was living in CD2 or CD12 now. Maybe he should run for Alger's NC.

I'm still amazed the District and it's generously-paid consultants got so out flanked.

The District ought to ask for it's money back from Darry Sragrow and Glenn Gritzner (the two political consultants that failed). And, while the district is at it, it ought to fire it's Attorney (Reed who did an abysmal job) and censure Ms. Canter. For Christ's sake, they spent all hard earned tax payer money on opposing for this when they never had a viable plan.

MEDIANEWS SACRAMENTO BUREAU
SACRAMENTO - California's illegal immigrants won't get a chance to apply for driver's licenses anytime soon, based on the surprising decision Thursday by a powerful legislative committee that effectively shelves the measure again.

The Assembly Appropriations Committee, which typically announces decisions with little discussion and without a roll-call vote, officially put the measure on hold. In political lingo, however, the action signifies the bill has all but died -- unless committee members agree to reconsider over the next two weeks, which typically doesn't happen.

This was the seventh time in seven years that Sen. Gil Cedillo, D-Los Angeles, tried to pass the measure, which would establish a special license for the state's more than 2 million undocumented drivers.

Mayor Sam said:

"And as this city falls apart, as the middle and working class are targeted, as we continue to allow illegals to flow over and turn the place into Calcutta, people will get more and more pissed."

let's all note that the underpinnings of this so-called populist, power-to-the-people movement is nothing more than hatred and racism.
