Antonio Goes To Church

The Mayor has spent most of this moring attending services at a number of churches. Among them on his agenda were West Angeles Church, Bryant Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, Brookins Community African Methodist Episcopal Church, Phillips Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, Grant African Methodist Episcopal Church and First African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Not sure if he's busy praying for his school takeover measure, or hoping to get the parishoners to back it themselves, but nonetheless, that's a lot of churchin' for one day!

I hope the Lord strikes him. How dare he use the church for his political bullshit. IF this doesn't let people know what a moron he is I don't know what will.

......Even as Villaraigosa demonstrates his political savvy and capitalizes on his popularity throughout the city, his critics see him as a master of message manipulation, rousing the public's emotion while obscuring serious questions about the specifics of his plan....Some people will see it as politics at its most manipulative and others will see it as advertising by other means," said Wilcox, who worked as a speechwriter for former Gov. Pete Wilson.

All politicians are master manipulators. Just look at the number one master President Bush and Papa Bush. Are'nt papa and friends still manipulating this country. After all you have to be blind not to notice they are an oil family, who went to Iraq to get just that, more oil. They are also controlling us thruogh fear, you know the color levels, they let us know when to be afraid and when not to.

Well, at least Mayor Villaraigosa is actually out talking with constituents, sharing and listening to ideas. When is the last time we heard a fresh, solid idea from Brad Sherman - or that he was more interested in constituents than in his job?

How about from Brad's HAPPY constituents who are grateful that he does a Town Hall meeting several times a year?

How about the fact that he's accessible?

How about the fact that he has Michael Tou working for him? The single most responsive aide ever in the history of politics.

How about the fact that Brad has helped secure federal money for the Orange Line and for the 5 and 405 freeways to put in carpool lanes/

How about the work he has done for the Rim of the Valley?

Where have you been, Mr. Hankwitz?

Somebody needs to teach Wacko a thing or two about campaigning.

The African-American church run is a requisite of any serious political campaign. Without it, you run a serious risk of turning the African-American vote into a swing-bloc. Those campaigns that are able to garner the most support from the African-American clergy get a huge boost on election day.

It goes without saying that LAUSD takeover is more than a vote in the State Assembly. AV is preparing for the battle ahead.
