City Council vs. LAUSD
According to the Daily News, the L.A. City Council believes the LAUSD should reimburse the City $52 million or so for the cost of various services that benefits students, teachers and parents -- sending police when there are reports of violence, for example, or providing crossing guards at busy intersections. Both sides seem to be bristling for a fight.
Excuse me, City Council, but it's not YOUR money; it's the taxpayers' money. Providing police protection, moreover, is something we expect the City to do for everyone, everywhere in the City -- including students and teachers. Whether the City or the LAUSD provides the services is, as far as taxpayers are concerned, a matter of indifference. So don't turn this into a you-know-what contest, and do not turn it into litigation where we, the taxpayers, get to pay for both sides' atttorney fees.

There are times when Walter has me ready to throw my monitor clear out of the nearest window, but this post is right on.
This crap has been going on for years. We should put aside a week to highlight every service that used to be "free" and now we pay for in addition to our taxes. While we're at it let us show the declining services next to the City Councils increased pay.
Could we even do it in a week?

Greig Smith and his relentless attacks on LAUSD. You won the CD 12 race Greig. Give it up. Your transparent attacks on Julie/LAUSD are so boring. Are you afraid of her coming back again? There is no sign or apparent intention of that yet so there is no reason for your vengeful attitude.

Smith goes after anyone who ever disagreed with him and his Chief of Staff thinks is a threat in that pea-brain of his.

Be careful. Don't post Hugo Garcia's LA32 Agenda. Hidden crypto keys purposely in each doc to find out who posts at mayor sam.
Some persons got 1, 2,or 3 copies of same agenda. Why more than one copy Hugo?
