Sunshiney Weekend

"Three months after the City Council voted to spend up to $5 million annually to divert some trash from Sunshine Canyon landfill beginning today, most of the city's trash will continue to go to the Granada Hills dump for at least a while longer."
"The city is in negotiations with two dumps outside Los Angeles to begin receiving some trash next year."
The same paper gushes today about all the "energy" that Villaraigosa has brought to his office during his first year in office as Mayor. Do you feel as gushy?

Yes.
Most definitely, no.
I don't feel gushy, either. As far as I can tell, his only accomplishments are getting more photos and frequent flyer miles than any other politician in California history.
.....not much has changed in Antonio's 1st yr. ...the schools aren't stellar, the subway doesn't run to the beach, the homless haven't left the streets, traffic doesn't move, housing remains scarce, a city budget crisit, police shortage, smog still hovers...
Hey, but he has a nice smile and loves the camera.
I'm glad the mayor is enthusiastic. I'm not glad we're still dumping at Sunshine Canyon.
I'm not really the gushy type.
Gushy like the Tidy Bowl Man..
WE CLEAN YOUR TOILETS..
And he beat Wacko, of course. That's gotta hurt, ain't it?
Stalker Boy: get a life, man! Or at least stalk somebody famous!
Wacko,
You're telling me to get a life? Aren't you the one who spends day in night blogging about illegal immigration on a site dedicated to local politics?
As a matter of fact, do you even have a job nowadays?
Walter call the guy stalker boy, but he keeps feuding with him. Takes one to know one, I guess.
