Could Boo Boo Have Survived? If so....
Then the Lieutenant on duty should not have called a vet to describe injuries and get legal permission to kill Boo Boo.
Then the two Vet Techs should have said so and stopped his bleeding
Then the ACT should have said, "wait, we can help him."
-----------------------------------------
What I"m angry about is that there was -- known to E. Valley shelter management -- but not to me -- an open invitation for the City to bring Boo Boo to a wonderful woman's vet's hospital where she would have paid the entire bill, as she has done for many other animals.
Why was Boo Bo0 not brought there from March 29th through last Saturday?
It was available.
LAAS management knew about it.
Why was he not brought there?
-----------------------------------------0
Also, Mr. Boks indicated that what his ACT told me -- that Boo Boo had been off of pain meds for days -- was "wrong."
But she didn't say just that he was off pain meds for days; she said that he was off pain meds because "political problems resulted in there not being enough pain meds."
It's tough to believe that she "misread" that.
------------------------------------------
Just like the puppies who drowned in a watery ditch -- unnecessarily -- last week, Ed needs to investigate this and tell the public about why these things happened.
------------------------------------------
As for Boo Boo going to a private vet, he never did. But this wonderful woman certainly made it known to the City of LA that that was an option.
------------------------------------------
I can't wait to hear from the City as to whether this poor boy could have survived. If so, their trained staffers -- a Lieutenant, two Vet Techs, and an ACT would surely have said something......right?
