Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Tuesday
The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees California (AFSCME California), representing more than 76 statewide locals, today announced their endorsement of Jerry Brown for Attorney General. Willie Pelote, Assistant Director of Political Action, said: “It is because of Jerry Brown’s history of supporting AFSCME’s issues and all the issues that are paramount in the minds of the working people of California that we have made this decision.”Councilwoman Janice Hahn announced the arrival Monday of 200 goats to clear brush from 12 acres at Peck Park Canyon. This was not the San Pedro based Counciwoman's first foray into the goat business.
Voters in various Los Angeles County cities will head to the polls Tuesday. Elections are scheduled for Long Beach, Avalon, Bradbury, Culver City, Lancaster, Lawndale, Santa Clarita, Sierra Madre, Walnut, Arcadia, Malibu and Vernon.
Some of our readers were speculating that former Sister City blogger Michael Trujillo is the same person as Downtown Central City East blogger Dan Garza AND Sister City regular reader/poster, Laborthug. What's news about a few bureaucrats supporting Jerry Brown? If anything, that will hurt Brown's chances for election.

Rocky is only running to increase his name ID for his next run.
He knew he could never win this race, particularly given his poor job performance as City Attorney.
Rocky has been done since he became City Attorney. I don't know in the city that is supporting him.
Huizar got slammed in city council today by constituent. Told him off for having a lazy staff not returning calls. Also stated Jose should stop hanging out with Antonio for photo ops and do his job. Forget the open door policy at his office. Commnity members have been told numerous times Jose is not available because he's busy with budget meetings. Yeah right!!
Fuck you Mayor Sam! Dgarzilla is the typical LA liberal loser and if you were a real republican you would know that. He's making people feel sorry for him. He's pimping the system like any other welfare queen.
This guy spens whatever money he has on computers and shit, then gets other poeple to pay his bills. LOSER!

We all have our burdens to carry.
As a matter of fact I am very conservative, unfortunataly catastrophic illness has me on the other side of the table and all of this computer equipment may well be my ticket back to a life of dignity and autonomy. Very soon.
I have learned to live with those people who say nasty things like that. It doesn't bother me anymore.
But it is importaant that they do speak their minds because there are many more out there who speak alike.

Also, let's not forget instead of helping the poor people he lowered the FINE to the slum lords. Now he has his CITY STAFF SOLITICING COMMUNITY MEMBERS to help him make a commerical. Ethics Commission should investigate that on city time.

Of course I endorsed Hahn.
He started the ball rolling on the inititives to clean up my neighborhood . Who in their right mind would turn their backs on that.
But it Looks like Antonio , being able to deal with both sides of the fence ...HAs a handle on the skid row situation.
SO you can guess who my next choice will be.
I do feel like a trick sometmes . Considering the things I do to try and get the attetnion of the City to make sure the street cleaners are here on a consistent basis, speaking at a hearing supporting a downtown condo developer in his approach to give 2.6 million dollars to Skid Row Housing Trust for their new Single Room occupancy hotel for low income housing .
I don't know ,I could be a trick. But if my neighbors get what they need and the people out there understand many of us here who are physically ill do want to get out there and dance with the rest of teh world and we would like programs that do that.
Then I guess I am a trick.
MAny of you know that this money is a trap.
Do I risk it all and lose my oxygen concentrator and my bottles? The expenisve medications and wind up very sick or even dead?
What do I do? It sucks.
The brainstem wants to live . All this talk about assisted suicide I don't understand because the body wants to live. So I am all for a persons right to live.
But who will insure me in the mainstream workforce?
Thus I am searching for a way to work for myself , that will give me the income I need to pay my own bills. Becuase those bills are expensive.
I didn't think I owuld make it this far , to this age , so now I am going to take life for granted and I am going to take even bigger risks..
I am also trying to get the word out there that if the city is going to put permanent supportive HOusing in your neighborhoods.... That you need to know the difference between harm reduction and Social MOdel recovery and of course makes sure you know that just having case managers on site is not a complete supportive housing moidel.
You must have it all psychiatrist and nurses to dispense medications.
SO go right ahead . If this makes me a trick then so be it.
