When Bloggers Attack

It was good enough to be true, but apparently, it wasn't. On our article posting gossip that County Fed boss Martin Ludlow was about to resign in face of mounting campaign fund investigations (he didn't, or at least he hasn't) was a reader comment claiming to be from LA Observed's Kevin Roderick slamming, of course, his favorite target, Joseph Mailander of Martini Republic. Kevin contacted us and assured us it wasn't his, but he was glad to see that Mailander has recently adopted some of his "how to blog" suggestions. We'll take Kev at his word, I know he has foreswarn mentioning Mailander.

In the meantime, Mailander is slamming Roderick and this one is for real. Mailander (LA)Observes a minor rift between Roderick and LAist's Carolyn Kellogg. Kellogg can't figure out why Roderick has recently set up a new Valley based version of his blog (essentially a repackaging of his America's Suburb blog based on his excellent book on San Fernando Valley history). Roderick for his part doesn't understand why Carolyn doesn't get it.
