Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Tuesday

A "dummy bomb'' found on the westbound Foothill Freeway in Sylmar turns out to be a non-explosive device, police say. It caused the freeway to be closed for a while.

The Metropolitan Water District board will be meeting today with its legal claims committee. Among the items on the agenda is a closed door session to discuss no less than eight discrimination lawsuits filed against the District. Also, a new MWD CEO will be announced at 1:00 p.m.

Ed Boks General Manager of LA Animal Services joined the blogosphere Monday with the "LA Animal Services" blog. Boks first post is his speech from the "Meet Ed Boks" public meeting last Thursday. Boks plans to use the blog to promote department programs and get his view on issues out there. The blog is now online at http://laanimalservices.blogspot.com/.

Joe Mailander of Martini Republic reports that Mayor Villaraigosa's office did indeed get advance notice of President Bush's speech about an alleged foiled al-Qaeda attack on Los Angeles. Why didn't Mayor Villaraigosa know this? Apparently the proper protocol was not followed.

This morning at 6:45 a.m. Mayor Villaraigosa will appear live on Telemundo KVEA channel 52 and 22's morning news. Later in the morning, he will deliver closing remarks at the general session of the International Council of Shopping Centers' Southern California Idea Exchange.

What's up with fat Gloria Romero showing up to the police commission? She doesn't know how to dress or act professional. Tell her to go back to her hell hole until she takes classes at 24 Hour Fitness. She's an embarrassement to women.

Antonio is soooooo stupid look what he said>>>doesn't he know that there's already violence and killings in South LA? What an idiot!!!!!

I am concerned that it could go into the neighborhoods and streets of Los Angeles," Villaraigosa said. "Most of these people are from the Los Angeles area. I think we need to get control of it and it shouldn't continue. We need to be open to bring in other law enforcement, including the National Guard, if necessary."

Yep... that's the root, no "proper protocol..."

Both words begin with "pro" and, just like when he was a fake councilmember, AV refuses to have anyone "pro-fessional" in his immediate circle.

Competent underlings scare AV. They serve as a constant reminder that he is, forever, hopelessly. . . a 1.8-GPAer.

Suffer, L.A., it's your own damn fault.
