All That Jazz
What are you doing Saturday evening, May 13th, 2006? Mark your calendars now, its time to 23 skidoo and all that jazz as Mayor V and the First Lady host a roarin' 20s night of jazz at the Getty House. (Wonder since no one has lived in the official Mayoral residence since the Tom Bradley days, if some folks who get these invites think its at the Getty Center?). Proceeds are said to benefit the Getty House Foundation youth programs.

I wonder if the Getty House has secret liquor-storage facilities. I once helped out on a renovation/remodel of a 1920s Hancock Park house and it was replete with thoughtful nooks and crannies for hiding hooch.
This ain't Camelot, folks. . . more like Camel-lite!
It has an excellent wine cellar with a few very nice bottles of wine. I scoped it when I was there before.
I love that part of the basement where that big screen television and comfy 50's looking couch is.
