Audit Time Again
***UPDATE BELOW***
Another Friday, another audit. This time the gun is focused on the City Treasurer's Office.
Stay tuned! We'll update after Laura Chick's 9:30 event this morning...
For now, here is the text from their release...
The Office of the Treasurer is responsible for managing cash receipts and disbursements that exceed $50 billion annually. The Treasurer serves as custodian of more than $5 billion in cash investments held by the City of Los Angeles and is responsible for the substantial earnings resulting from the prudent investment of that money. The effective management and operation of the Treasury function can have a direct impact on funding available to use for other City priorities.
The overall objective of the Controller's audit is to provide the City of Los Angeles with comprehensive findings and relevant practical recommendations to ensure that the Office of the Treasury is managed and operated in an efficient and cost-effective manner, is in compliance with applicable state and City laws and ordinances, and is responsive to the needs of the various city stakeholders.
***UPDATE***
Here's the link to the audit
Long story short, they are an agency in transition. getting better, but a long way to go, having been crippled by the city's hiring freeze.

Start with Laura Chick's office.
Check under the desks, hidden files, and search the hardrive for deleted files.

BREAKING NEWS IN COUNCIL DIST. 14
Fire at Woodrow Wilson High School, one bungalow burns down as Homecoming celebration began. The Homecoming game is Wilson V.S. Lincoln H.S. and students speculate it was the Lincoln H.S. (rivalry) students that started the fire.
Who knows?
More LAUSD chaos
Where is the Mayor when you need him to calm these Latinos down.
They get out of hand.

Yup they should audit Laura's office to find out how many checks she's signed not knowing what they were for. Please Laura Chick insults women. Don't forget she signed off on a $4 million check to Fleishman Hillard and didn't even question it. Then she comes out before Rocky trying to take credit for catching over payment.
Laura always has alterior motives for doing things. Why all of a sudden is she auditing the treasury dept??????
