Simon Wiesenthal Dies at 96
Simon Wiesenthal, the Holocaust survivor who spent the years following World War II hunting down Nazi war criminals, then spent decades fighting anti-semitism and other forms of prejudice, has died at the age of 96.
Wiesenthal, whose efforts led to the creation of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and Museum of Tolerance here in Los Angeles, died at his home in Vienna Monday night.
