These are great appoinments. But particular kudos for Mark Rios, one of LA's most interesting urban designers. His background is in landscape design and he has a real commitment to reweaving the urban fabric to create human-scale streetscapes. On the CRA Board. What a thought.
Send him to San Pedro right away.

Hey when someone can get the job done- who cares how you know them? Leadership just happens to run in the family. This appt isn’t nepotism- do some research on who John is- he has great credentials and is an outstanding strategic thinker!
