Jerome Horton Voting Update

As I was reading this post over on Phoblographer*, I couldn't help but get a chuckle after inspecting their image of the vote more closely...

So the point of him abstaining on this accomplished...

Don't worry residents of Inglewood, Mr. 41 is on the case!

If Horton doesn't have to vote on gay marriage bills, he doesn't. What a coward!

Horton's refusal to accord other mintorities those rights he so smugly claims for his own demi-class will erode any support he might currently be maintaining. Cowardice consumes itself absolutely.

Yeah, he's a big jerk. He's in a safe seat so he could have gone with morals and voted yes. Other Democrats in much riskier areas such as San Diego County, Orange County, and the Inland Empire voted with their conscience.

Well it at least passed although I'm pretty sure Arnold will veto the bill.

Bite me, Frank. He took a walk because he's termed out and has to run again. It would be used against him.

What about the Dems who voted against? Where's your humor about them?

Barbara Matthews
Nicole Parra
Juan Vargas
Lois Wolk

What about the others who didn't vote? Joe Baca (D); Bonnie Garcia (R)?

For those that voted no, congrats...there is no reason to allow gay marriage. Being gay is a psychological problem. Get help and seek therapy. No reason to be gay, it is just a kinky sex life.

This is my opinion and keep in mind almost all the gay people I have met in my life, most of them have been sexually abused, this is a disorder.

Baca is running against Negrete McCloud for State Senate next year and has already bragged that he will be gay bashing her in the primary. Gloria deserves the Red Badge of Courage award.

You are 100% wrong. Maybe instead of running around attacking gays, you should take a closer look at your own life.

It has been established by every credible source under the sun since the early 1970's has said that being gay is not a psychological problem.

Maybe he simply doesn't believe men should marry men and women should marry women?? After all, that's not an unreasonable position when you really think about it.

10:34 knows nothing about gays and how they think. A psychological disorder?

It's an equal rights issue, regardless of whether you agree with the gay lifestyle or no!

As far as most of the gay people you know being molested as children, speak to your straight frieds too. The majority of people (gay or straight) have been molested as children or expirimented with someone of the same sex.

12:45 Is this molestation revelation an epidemic of the United States and our lifestyles, the liberal mind of media, or why would everyone gay and straight be molested? Elaborate your point of view.

Bonnie Garcia, a Republican, abstained.
Parra obviously did it for political reasons, since she took tremendous heat in the 2004 General Election for that vote.

Juan Vargas is running for Congress and he is painting the incumbent as "too liberal" in that race.

Although he is a Jesuit, and a brilliant man, I think he voted for it out of political ambition.

Arambula had a heated 2004 general election. Those were the blows he took as well.

Do your homework folks.

Horton is just a punk.

There's plenty of other legislators with pending races in 2006, that's the thing (i.e. Calderon, Frommer, Chu). They abstain and gonna turn around and use it against their colleagues, but they sure as hell didn't try to kill the bill. Vote No if you're against it and let it mean something.

I can't believe there are people who care this much about whether or not someone is gay.

As an older person from the midwest, I can remember when people thought that blacks shouldn't marry whites.

I can remember when "retarded" people were locked in institutions.

I can remember my mother talking about not being allowed to vote.

Equality is equality.

I say take a stand and stick to it. I wouldn't be swayed by a future race or anything else.

I can't imagine why it's okay for 14 year olds to have babies, but gays can't live with each other with the same rights. Stop calling it gay "marriage".

If people were smart, they would never marry unless they were going to have children.

I hope that every gay basher on this blog has a gay child one day.

Karma.

I bet it's because he/she feels like gays are normal?

And you gay bashers are evil.

Just a wild guess..

How dare you! That's evil to wish on anyone, gay or straight.

I think the more appropriate wish is "sterility." We don't need to ruin the lives of kids by stupid parents or further contaminate the human race with more hatred.
