This parental notification initiative (or Prop 73) is so right-wing that it makes me sick to my stomach. What happened to the rights of young people? This world is crazy and it's because of these right-wing radicals that our country is so divided. Stop using religion as a crutch, or making others follow your lonely, unstable path to hell!

Interesting that if a fourteen year old needs their tonsils removed, appendix, or even stitches for a cut on their finger, they have to have parental consent, yet they don't to have an abortion.

This is not about parental consent, rather it's about parental notification.
There's no comparision between a set of tonsils and a living, breathing baby. Teen pregnancy rates have been declining by more than 40 percent the last 10 years. Why? Not because of abstinence-only education, but rather it's because of more comprehensive education.

I believe in parental notification, however I also think there needs to be some failsafe that a teen could go to court in case their parents are complete losers.

1:44 - Young people can have full rights when they turn 18. Until then, there's a reason they have parents.
This has nothing to do with religion. Sad that you see life as a conspiracy of religion.

Very original post 4:45 p.m. But, of course, religion is your guide for every move you make. You're so brainwashed that the next thing you're going tell me to do is watch Fox News.
Religion should be private, and should be left out of this discussion. Of course, it won't, because there's a group of folks who think they now best for the rest of the group.

I appreciate how you only pointed me out for speaking about religion. However, if you read the very first post, you'd see that the liberal blogger initiated the religious discussion criticizing "right-wing radicals" for using religion as a crutch.
In fact, I stated in my post that "this has nothing to do with religion."
I copied and pasted your liberal friend's closing remarks, except I replaced "right-wing" with "left-wing". You immediately took offense at my remarks, but what the the first blogger said was presumably was okay.
The fact is when right and left wing idiots bash each other they erode any opportunity for genuine discussion and analysis. They paint arguments in black-and-white terms. Perhaps they do this because complexity and tolerance are fundamentally excluded from both their ideological frameworks.
By the way, I'm not going to suggest you watch FOX or any other program for that matter. I would suggest you pay closer scrutiny to discussions and the danger of hypocrisy in your own ideology.
