The ever vocal Animal Defense League of LA (ADLLA) waited an entire hour on Friday before pouring the gas on the newly minted Mayor. Here is the e-mail we received:

We'll wait to see how long they give the new Mayor, but knowing their eagerness to camp out on Hahn's lawn and vandalize property, I'd suggest he get a move on!

Yeah, AV is screwed here. Not only by his own words on Gordon, who is increasingly popular with many animal rights folks (though not staff), but also when he stepped in it saying he would get rid of the elephants at the zoo. If I ever saw a mailer against a politician for something anti-family, it would be that.
Let's give Antonio a few weeks to get his feet wet; if the animal rights folks think this is how to lever him they just don't know him.
