UCLA Exec Arrested, Had Filed For Neighborhood Council
The Daily Bruin is reporting that an individual hired to raise funds for the David Geffen School of Medicine has been arrested for a parole violation.
Freddrick Mark Brito who worked at UCLA under the name of Federiqkoe DiBritto has allegedly posed as a priest, psychiatrist and head of a non-profit organization. Brito had previously served prison time for embezzlment and in the 90s was charged with felony grand theft and forgery; which lead to a two year prison sentence.
Brito also confirmed to the Daily Bruin that he had filed to run for, but later withdrew, a seat on the Greater Cypress Park Neighborhood Council.

This guy had some similar, previous position with the Loyola Law School, just a few months before UCLA. The NortheastLA@yahoogroups.com people have been buzzing about it for weeks and taking some heavy duty abuse from the "con" himself, online and directly. He even posted a "Blogger.com" blog for "Cypress Park Assholes" for outing him, just before the story broke in the Bruin (apparently someone on that list tipped the school paper, which did a GLOWING write-up of him last November).

I clicked on your link and see that Roderick never claimed it's a scoop. He says right on his blog that it came out of the Daily Bruin, and credits some guy named Patterson. Claiming a scoop for something that already appeared in the media would be lame.
