Marcus Allen was a great running back for the Raiders. Remember that great single-reverse he did at the goal line to beat the Seahawks in '84 at the Collesium? I sure do.
Well, it Antonio needs someone to run his plays, he couldn't have made a better pick.

Dirty Cosmo Girl is right, Mike Bonin did a great job. He ran a great operation. I look forward to more good work from him as Rosendahl's chief of staff.

The only thing I think Hillary Norton-Orozco is up for is spending some quality time with Doug Dowie and Steve Sugerman if she's even somewhat connected to the Fleishman-Hillard overbilling scandal. Let's see what happens.
Sugarman is not going to be spending any time with Dowie or Stodder.

Ari Swiller will not be COS; it will cost him too much. The smart guys stayed OFF the Transition Committee because they didn't want to sign the pledge to not do business with the City for a year.

OK, contenders for COS: Jimmy Blackman, Jim McDermott, Marcus Allen, Ron Deaton, but not Swiller, Patsouras or Huggy.
Hilary Norton Orozco is a big Pacheco supporter, even though she pretends otherwise. This relationship will (or should) prevent her from getting a position in AV's office. She and Gerard are also close to Rocky so I'm sure AV wouldn't want one of his staff leaking insider information to Rocky...
Whoever Antonio hires will be a huge improvement over the idiots in the Hahn administration...inept Julie Wong who hired totally incompetent Shannon Murphy who then ran to her friends at Fleishman-Hillard for help writing press releases (while they were being investigated) at the same time Doane Liu chased his tail and Troy Edwards was run out of town...the list goes on and on.
Antonio does not want a repeat of the Hahn disaster so he'll find competent, experienced people who can get stuff done in city hall.
Jimmy is Antonio's boy. He doesn't want to be COS. But he will fill Doane Liu's role as Deputy Mayor for constituent something.
Ari Swiller will be COS.
Hertzberg and Levine COS Stewart Waldman rejected Deputy Mayor of the Valley to run for Assembly next year. Miriam Jaffe is the front-runner.
Deputy Mayor for Trans is Pastourous or Kevin Murray.
Sleazy Huizy will be a Public Works Commish after dropping out for Marie Elena Durazo.

Don't write off Carolyn de Macias for COS or Deputy Mayor.
Swiller cannot afford to take COS; neither can Patsouras be Deputy Mayor for Transportation. Too limiting.
Watch for surprises that no one predicts. They are thinking out of the box on the 15th Floor. For good reasons.

As long as none of Antonio's CD14 field staffers get promoted LA will be ok. Paul Hernandez needs lessons in public relations as do Lisa Sarno, Jenny Caron Lacey, Dora Garcia.
Interesting how the blacks are becoming more prominent. Ludlow to Federation and possibly now Marcus Allen in city hall. I guess Antonio doesn't want his Latinos buddies any where close. What's going to happen to Alatorre? Especially cause he's taking credit for Antonio winning and being his consultant?
Don't worry about Brian. He'll go back to Paul Hastings and make big bucks making rich people richer, just like he did before he got into this whole City Hall mess.
