Where in the World Wide Web is Weiss?
The folks at West LA Online are buzzing over the lack of a Jack Weiss website. Though Weiss plans to coast to victory, at least his opponent David Vahedi has put up a nice site with some good ideas and damn respectable endorsements.
C'mon Jack - if Walter Moore can put up a site so can you. Now if there is one out there, we can't find it. But there is a www.jackweiss.com, just ain't him. But if you want to read about Jack, you have already paid for a really nice site for him.

Who care about Jack Weiss' website? Who cares about Jack Weiss? Aren't there more important things to discuss today?
Weiss is a loser. He's lost his credibility and respect a long time ago. He's for himself. He shows no leadership and plays follow the leader with other council members. Who cares where he's at or what he's doing. Poor poor constituents
Give the man his due; HE's serving out his full term.

we should should be talking about is Laura Chick's outrageous conduct in meeting with 4 mayoral candidates!
What Laura Chick did was unethical. Having a closed door private meeting with on;y the 4 mayoral candidates to give them a memo against Hahn. No one can say she doesn't have alterior motives. She's just proven what a low life snake she is. Its irrevelant which candidate I'm supporting, the fact is when a elected official behaves in this manner there should definitely be Repercussions.
I think Hahn's people should you now go on the offensive against Laura Chick. Not endorsing anybody! Does anybody believe anything other than Ms. Chick has been giving info to the Villaraigosa campaign from Day 1? Now to cover her rear end, in case her Chick/Villaraigosa duet is discovered, she invited the other candidates so she can say that she has shared her infor with all them - except of course Walter Moore and that other candidate Jim Hahn!
Don't you city workers have city work to do? You can waste all the time you want defending your incompentent boss and it will do you no good.

I think the next audit should be on how the Mayor's staff is wasting tax payer dollars blogging.
Shame on Laura!@#$%^&* The LA Weekly is calling it "scandlous" talk. That says it all. Its somewhat insulting to the other mayoral candidates. By having a private meeting at her home and giving them ammunition to use against Hahn she's basically saying" Here you go idiots." "You are so dumb and can't think of these things to say, so I did it for you." I use to have respect for her but that just went down the drain along with my vote.
Laura Chick has really got to be a very bitter person over the years. Not just against Hahn. but everyone in general, don't you think? She is so hard and it is affecting her physical appearance. I wonder what made her be this way?
As a taxpayer, I don't care about her personal relationships with people, any bitterness or how she looks. I just want her to do her job and root out corruption, which she is apparently doing. At the end of the day, if my dollar and every other taxpayer's dollar is well spent, I'm happy.
What does Laura Chick or Jim Hahn have to do with Weiss?
I guess no one does care about Weiss. Poor Jack.
Back to Vahedi - Weiss. I think Jack's got to have some concerns with COPE pulling their endorsement. How Vahedi managed that shows he's more connected than people think. There are a lot of people Weiss has pissed off and the rumor that he threatened Miguel Contreras by suggesting he'll be seeking higher office (DA or City Attorney) doesn't sound far-fetched.
BTW, Vahedi's lawn sign's suck.
Is Jack Weiss running for City Council again? I thought he was competing with David Goldstein for an anchorman spot on Channel 2 News?? I'm for David Vahedi. He cares about what happens in City government, not photo opportunities.
Laura Chick gave away hard tax dollars signing off on checks that should have never gotten passed her desk. Once she realized what a major f--k up she made then all of a sudden she blames Hahn and starts attacking. She's proven she's no better than Antonio and just as sleazy. Word around town today is she's lost it. Who would be that stupid then she told the candidates not to say a word. Who leaked to LA Weekly and if there's nothing to hide in the memo then release so all of us can see it Laura. Bad move.

Now we go after mr weiss i see - Jack has a clear vision for his district and this city. Jack is one of the best councilmembers in the city - if we had more like him this city would be in a better place.
That said, Jack can work on his jump shot a little more, next time we play basketball Jack i am taking you to the hole.

Everyone is saying that by Jack aligning himself with Antonio it hurt all those endorsements he could have gotten. Jack is a whimp. No one in council respects him cause he doesn't think before he speaks. He'll never get anywhere except where he's at right now.
I enjoy your posts, MEAT, and frequently agree with you, except for this one. Jack's arrogance has fractured his relationships with his colleagues on the council. I know he's trying to make a name for himself on the issue of terrorism, but that hardly translates into a vision for his district or the city.
