Looks like Mayor Sam will hit 40,000 hits sometime today or tomorrow. I thought I would mention it before he did.

In other news, guess which candidate is about to see his consultant resign?

I'm not surprised Weiss got a few votes but more than LaBonge?

Janice Hahn should be played by Faith Ford, from the old Murphy Brown show (and something more recently -- with two sisters?)

No clue, Kam you fill us in?

Kam wouldn't bail on the Mayor during his hour of need would he? Nah, he wouldn't do that. Maybe he would. Hmmm, now am I not sure.

Are you saying Kam is departing the Titanic before it hits the iceberg?

I forgot to mention those numbers Harriman -- good job.

But the folks on this blog aren't interested in facts Harriman, they only care about their twisted view of reality.

Harriman didn't you know that the 22% disapproval must be coming from CD 14 -- cause they know and hate him the most -- makes sense to me, how about you Harriman?

And of course those Hahn numbers must be wrong, just another conspiracy put out there by the media to sell papers and get eyeballs on TV's, you agree Harriman?

And Alarcon and Hertzberg don't register, didn't you know Harriman that this poll (while extremely accurate during the Pres primaries and the last mayoral race 4 yrs ago) isn't really a true scientific poll because it polls everyone and not just voters. Harriman why don't you know these things?

Oh yeah, i forgot, you unlike the rest of the dum-dums on this blog like FACTS and FIGURES, not theories about how the earth is flat and how bad Antonio is going to get it from the community.

I applaud you Harriman for living in reality and not being distracated by the wing-nuts on this blog.

FROM MEAT:

Hey Harriman!

By Rick Orlov, Staff Writer

Boosted by a television commercial and his performance in debates, former Assembly Speaker Bob Hertzberg released an internal poll on Sunday that he says shows him in a tie with Mayor James Hahn in the March 8 election -- but with both trailing Councilman Antonio Villaraigosa.
The survey of 404 registered voters taken last Thursday, Friday and Saturday showed Villaraigosa as the choice of 27 percent of voters with Hahn and Hertzberg tied at 20 percent. The poll, with a 5 percent margin of error, said 21 percent of those surveyed were undecided.

I suppose two different polls one with ABCV Channel 7 and a competitor Mr Hertzberg both giving Antonio favorable numbers must make logical thinkers like the people on this blog insane.

I mean only insane people like you and I can read these numbers and be pleased, right?

Hey, Mayor Sam.

Tonight at the huge dinner for the Jewish Home for the Aging, the Mayor absolutely showed up !!! It was in the Valley !!!

Now, don't get excited, because it didn't last long. He came very late, stayed long enough to say a few words and left before dinner was served !!!

Somehow, Hertzberg, Parks, Villairagosa all manged to come early and stay for dinner and afterwards. It was most noticeable by the participants and mentioned during the evening event when those who stayed were specifically thanked !!!

Zine, Weiss, Brad Sherman and others were also there. Zine a long time supporter of the home and Brad Sherman spoke briefly.

It was a great event with a wonderful show featuring Roy Firestone.

There were about 400 high provile Jewish and non Jewish Valley Voters who appreciated those who stayed and didn't appreciate those who didn't. Hahn had never shown before but others had. Election year?

go ABH(anybody but hahn).

Sincerely,
An attendee and heretofore an objective somewhat neutral !!! He would have been better off not showing at all.

MEAT I'm glad you finally are admitting Attention Deficit Villaraigosa's own constituents can't stand him. That has to say a lot and send a strong message to the rest of the city. Trust me its filtering out. When a councilman takes Steve Lopez to Beverly Hills not even in city limits is another sure message. MEAT why was your boss in WA D.C. this weekend. Getting his desk ready? Now that would be a great to finally get him out of LA.

Bob is going to get most of all those little old Jewish lady voters who usually turn out at 90% even for a council runoff, let alone a contested mayoral raace. They're all over Studio City, Sherman Oaks, North Hollywood, Encino, Canoga Park, Westside, Fairfax, etc.

I think that Alarcon is making no dent in Antonio's Hispanic vote. It looks like the Hispanics are gelling around him which helps him greatly. I don't see Antonio going up any further than where he is, so the ADV folks need a scandal quick because its now looking quite possible that Hertzberg is going to knock Hahn off for the number two spot. Antonio could do very well if he runs against Bob. Bob really needs to run against the Mayor if he wants a slam dunk.

Hey MEAT!

You talk about FACTS but you spew nothing but in your 1000 word screeds on this blog.

Where are the 81% of voters who favor Tony Villar?

Are you still doing J. Harriman?

I'm Latino and I can guarantee that there's a hell of a lot of Latinos I know in the city that are not voting for that loser Antonio. Anyone who would stupid enough to take a reporter, just like Steve Lopez said to a pretentious place instead of one of the great Mexican restaurants in his own district is a fool.

My friend, it's obvious from the skewed and misapplied numbers here that ADV's campaign people are using these same tailored poll interpretations to tell him he doesn't need to "pander" to Latino's anymore. He's a GOD to them, already. You're all wrapped up like a Christmas (sorry, "holiday") present and won't stray off the plantation. It's more important for him to show the Westside he won't embarrass them in "polite" company, and he can be trusted at fancy restaurants with the "upper class" not to order the Thunderbird. He's not only got "church" now (for religious minorities), he's got "class" for the label-conscious Limo Libs. He's all things to all people (and nothing to nobody).

Bush used the religion issue at the end of his campaign and sadly it worked. We are not going to let ADV go that route. Word is spreading throughout the city thanks to that article Parks had in LAT Saturday about Antonio supporting a drug dealer and taking money from his family.
