State of the Sister City

In honor of our Governator's State of the State and Hahn's nearing "State of the Valley" addresses, we too would like to take a moment and deliver the first annual State of the Sister City Address.

Who are we kidding? This is a shameless plug in honor of our 5,000th visitor in just 10 days. Our Honorable Mayor Sam posted on New Years when we reached 10,000, and the traffic has picked up tremendously since then. Like Hahn, we have no dignity, and couldn't resist the temptation to pat ourselves on the back for other peoples (yours) achievements. It is you the rowdy, raucous, self-serving, anonymous posters who make this site fly and a must read for all hacks in LA.

If you would like to celebrate with us, try going on a shopping spree at cafepress where you can find the perfect stein for the occasion. Need consoling because you've been taken down by Meat, then get yourself a "Mayor Hugsbear" and feel secure in knowing someone will still hug you. (You can also send the bears to Meat himself if you ever figure out who he is. He probably needs a hug from you guys trashing him on a daily basis.) Rumor has it that a certain candidate has purchased a few of these bears himself. We aren't sure if it's Hahn practicing voodoo, Villaraigosa lamenting the days he crossed Hertzberg, or Hertzberg himself passing them out to supporters, but either way we thank them for their capitalism.
